Dating? I don't.
Anyone I'm interested in is either too far, too young, too busy or too not into me.
I don't mind the too busy because I am too busy and too apathetic.
I know what I want but that doesn't seem to fit anyone else.
I'm not exactly sad about it, I'm not lonely, I don't have much design to date, but every so often I miss having interest in someone who has an interest in me.
The problem is that I used to be a part of actual groups and I could actually meet people and find if I had chemistry with someone.
Now all the groups are online and chemistry is hard to read and it always seems like if it's there, the person was not someone available in a way that I could date.
So, anyone else.

Your pics are fab. I like your happy face. You'll find someone, I am sure.

Yeah but age means little to me unfortunately not many feel that way so have to get used to being alone

Same old story here!

Too many play games, they lead you on then always find a way to let you down!

Even when you think they possibly might be into you, they seem to find something amiss!

Always stating it is me, not you!

Even if you are upfront, stating you are not religious in any form or fashion, do not support trump and this insane Obstructionist republican agenda against the people of this country.

They respond without reading or comprehending what you stated!

Then there is always the distance, age, and their conservative demeanor!

Too many respond and are not compatible on so many levels!

It is like the whole deck is stacked against you!

It is too the point why bother!

All the old adages and wise tales about meeting someone seem to be nothing but tales or urban legends!!!

LOL!!

I find your assessment pretty accurate. I was married twice and my last wife was extremely intelligent, we made approximately the same respectable salaries, she was very liberal and not religious. She was a beautiful lady on the inside, but didn't take care of her physical health and she died in 2010 at the age of 47. I think she may have set the bar too high for me to find someone now. I have only had on meaningful relationship since her death and that lady overstayed her visa and had to leave the country. Maybe I should have married her, but the timing wasn't right.

Since I don't drink and have a low tolerance of drunks and/or redneck conservatives, bars are not an option for me. The best place for young single people to find someone is at little league baseball games and practices. When my son was of baseball playing age I was married and not looking, but there were always a lot of single parents attending. Trying really hard to find someone is almost like having a full time job.

I'm still open to finding someone, but at this age and with my financial situation I can't devote the time, energy or resources to it as I could when I was still working and considerably younger.

You gotta kiss alot of frogs before you find your princess......

Do hoppy toads leave warts?

@WonderWartHog99 usually depleted bank balances, sadly...on the other hand, the medical costs to eradicate those warts would probably be substantial as well

I met mine at work. 14 years later... don't give up

I met my wife at work, that was before she was uber religious, she knew I've always been an atheist and that was why she left.

Ya, i'm having a bitch of time find a woman that I'm attracted to (appeal, not necessarily beauty). I have so many issues - either negatives that i have (I DON'T (won't) fly, I don't have a lot of money although I'm totally solvent with great credit, and for others not on this site ...I am not at all religious! That's 3 strikes and I'M OUT, for most women! Oh, and then to make things worse, the liberals (who are the non god people) are ANTI-TRUMPERS, and I would support Trump...but I think that I'm going to start lying about that or just becoming non political. And there are so many reasons why a woman wouldn't work for me! If she rides a motorcycle, bungee jumps, parachutes, quads, is into Nascar, hunting, camping; is high style, high maintenance, loaded with money (that would be emasculating), and more. I even have a website with a reward (finder's fee) on which I have had well over 100,000 hits, and I've been interviewed on tv 4-5 times, and NOTHING, ZERO, NADA! Oh, On top of that, I'm 77, had radiation for prostate cancer so i have some ED going on, and have a couple of other medical issues although they are well under control with meds, but still i have to tell the woman these things at some point! I'm DESPERATE! Ha, and I'm spoiled because I've always had beautiful women in my life. WTF! Send me your hand-,me-downs or rejects ...ya never know! I don't work right now, so I spend all day on the dating sites, too. HELP! Good luck to you, too!
Dave

It seems, many of us are in the same boat.

@kellymkg Well, LET'S JUST MARRIED AND THAT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM FOR BOTH OF US! 🙂))

I share a lot of the same feelings, but I realize much of it is do to things of my own choosing.
I don’t really want a LDR, but with my job - I work a minimum of 20 days straight in North Dakota, and then return to Montana for 8-12 days (with a limited size of potential dates) - it seems that’s the most likely scenario until I make some changes in my situation.

Hey man go to asia, there you can find all of types of women or ladyboys easily.

1

I'll meet any woman who wants to meet me. That might sound like a burden but it's not - there have been very few. I'm hoping that the whole thing will produce less anxiety over time.

I can relate completely to all that you have said.

Go out to a local hang out place, bar or anyplace where you can find women.

I find karaoke to be great....the DJ announces names, you do not need to sing, ever, everybody needs an audience, and appreciates a compliment or kind word after singing, so it is easy to strike up a conversation without using tired "lines". In addition, you tend to see the same faces wherever you go, so always someplace to sit, exchange pleasantries. So much nicer than just hanging out at a bar!

Online dating is the best. IF you can find someone who can communicate effectively in writing.
We have to just adapt with the times and what is available to us locally is such a small swamp of people. Online your options are limitless and worldwide. Depends on what you are looking for and what you are flexible on in order to find the right companion for life. I can only speak from my experiences but I have found online dating to be very effective.

Yes but you're beautiful. Look at me. what chance do I have?

Love is beautiful, love is swell
Love is as sweet as a nut
Love is grander than tongue can tell
Love is remarkable, but

Look at what it did to Antony
It made a fool out of Antony
If love could do that to Antony
What chance have I with love?

Look at what it did to Romeo
It dealt poor Romey an awful blow
If love could do that to Romeo
What chance have I with love?

Look at what it did to Samson
'Til he lost his hair he was brave
If a haircut could weaken Samson
They could murder me with a shave

Look at what it did to Bonaparte
He lost his head when he lost his heart
If he kicked over the apple cart
What chance have I
An ordinary guy
What chance have I with love

@ThomasLevi You're right, my fellow Tom. She is beautiful and, like, me, you are a middle aged, average looking bald guy. The online dating world is stacked against us. I appreciate your refreshing honesty. And all the writing ability in the world for you or me is not going to change that, as we are still not rich or famous enough to overcome our average, bald looks. Online dating, whether male or female, is pretty much a game left to those above average or better in looks.

I appreciate the compliment. I met my boyfriend on this very site over a year ago. I used to have a very thorough informative bio on my profile.
He said he thought there was a 95% chance that I wouldn’t even respond to his message but he tried and wrote me a lovely message anyway.
Guess what....he lived 1500 miles away....he’s bald, middle aged and not rich and we couldn’t be happier. We just got a place together. He took a chance, I wrote back....and the rest is history.

Pretty much same here. I’m on a (free) dating site but don’t initiate contact unless someone seems like a REALLY good fit and they almost never respond. I am really too busy to get to know anyone, and not motivated enough to care.

So, you giving up?

Give up? It's like giving up on....

No good analogy but no, not giving up, but a little tired of bing patient.

@ThomasLevi Sometimes we are trying too hard. Just enjoy what you are doing and it will happen.

Preach it brother.

Just look on it as being stood in a sweetshop - there are mints, fruity, jelly, chocolate, marzipan -- too many to choose from
So you take your time, you try each one that looks good - taste it, savour it, slowly suck on it and make it last as long as you like - when you are done, decide if you want more of that sweet and if not, pick another that looks good
The search for the perfect sweetie can take as long and be as enjoyable as you want

Well you right, things have changed from the way it used to be..this is the new generational problem lol but I believe you will find that person...#istandwithyou
