The religious always seem to think our lives are so "empty" without their imaginary friend. How do you find abundance and fullness in your life?

I find my happiness in helping others to be happy. πŸ™‚

Chocolate.

Toss in some pizza and beer beforehand, and you are a woman after my own heart.

@PadraicM

I'll take the pizza anyday! Ixnay to the alcohol, but there are plenty of women who like chocolate, pizza anD beer. πŸ™‚

In my opinion, nothing can compare or compete with the awesomeness of the universe and the way nature controls it all.

I have plenty to do, and friends to do it with. Plus total upkeep/repairs to home & yard, close the pool, plus want to paint the RV before winter. No time to waste on the Easter Bunny, for sure!

Weed, music, my dog, and learning. My life does feel somewhat empty still on many days, still lonely and looking for work. But it’s not for lack of an imaginary friend. I’d rather know when no ones coming to bail me out than carry false hope. Religion made me weak and dependent on something that was never around to help. Now that I know it’s on me to take care of myself, at least something is gettin done.

Atheist don'f feel bad about dropping an iminagery friend...Welcome to reality! Life is wonderful with out god bullshit.

I don't see a lot of difference between an atheist viewpoint and a religious one. Except a lot of useless(presumed?) celestial promises.

Satisfaction comes from within -- whether you're insecure enough to need pretend validation or not.

It is discouraging to me how many people use group validation in the name of their church(es)/god(s) to claim celestial authority -- irrespective of the merits of their actions.

its just as full without any imaginary friends (or gods)

By focusing on reality and ignoring bullshit.

#1: avoiding the religious.

I'd disagree 100% with the Faithfools about my life being 'empty' without their Invisible, Imaginary Sky Daddy.
My life is good, I go out and look over my gardens, see the plants grow, I hear the birds singing, the trees covered in their finest greenery,I get to sleep in every Sunday instead of going to some church to hear tiresome rhetoric hour after hour, I can switch OFF the channels that spew forth religious twaddle and watch other channels instead, ones that either have good movies or documentaries, etc, and money I have is mine and do NOT have to pay the 10% Tax. aka, TITHE, to the church EVERY weekend, etc.
Ergo, my life is as full as it can get.

Porn and food like any man religious or not!

Beer and pizza often fill a void in my life (or at least my belly). Teaching does a lot, especially since I can slide in ideas about critical thought and how to apply it to things outside of my class.

I find freedom in knowing I'm not going to live forever.
That in itself makes life precious.
Yes, I went thru my "oops moment" when I had to confront my own mortality.
But so did our ancient ancestors. That's why we're in this mess. They couldn't handle it, so they made up The Happy Hunting Ground.
The first spirituality.
Today's Christians reflect our ancestors' nihilism upon discovery of death in statements like these.
Without God, their lives would be meaningless.
Translated: they'd have to face death.
Oh, and fish, weed, butterflies, all of Nature and science, Karaoke and being around good people.

I find meaning in the love I can give the people and critters in my life. Relationships are what it's all about for me.

Damn straight @ujjjezebel!

Learning, reading, volunteering, friends, meeting new people, creative projects, entertainment, pets.

2

My kids, reading good books, voting, writing, playing music, games, arguing with friends, building shit...running, eating great food, cooking great food, traveling, hiking. And sometimes, I just sit on my butt and enjoy doing squat.

2

Not having to spend time or money in church trying to believe the craziness allows for time and money to spend on worthwhile things!

2

It's not something that I ever thought I had to look for, it's all around the world and beyond.

By living.

I felt empty when I was under my mother's religion and after I got off from it my life changed to an abundant life. Now I make my own decisions what make me feel happy and accomplished.

Fucking with Christians.

I don’t.
