Does anybody else wonder why "believer" is an option on an agnostic dating site?

Nope. I wonder about many things in life, on- and offline. That isn't one of them.

Nope. They do show up.

Lol, I'm wondering why a "UU agnostic and atheist accepting church" has a covenant that mentions being there for "God." Anyone can be a guest speaker, but you must recite it with the members to do so. Why might I go? Forced by a christian attending a church with a screaming baptist preacher who encourages judgement and forced attendance. The highlight? His membership mirrors his habits in daily life; 4 local murders (within the year) have involved church members according to his own sermons. Oh, and every Sunday since her attendance she's come home starting arguments, screaming about church attendance, or finding something else to scream about. I have an autoimmune disorder and previous to this was connecting with nature, taking care of my schedule, and working toward income goals. Now, I get coughed on once a week by the self-righteous who watch to see if my hand goes in the collection plate. Ain't God grand?

I guess it’s all inclusive so people who want to have a look can? Either that or a link to the humanist site.

Not really. There are interesting people with all sorts of different views. If one only engages with what one already knows or believes, one pretty soon develops an institutional bias which is not healthy for a freethinker. It sets a course for head up one’s own arse and fingers in ears humming away distractingly.

Though this may not be "just a dating site", it advertises itself as one

If this is a dating site then why is "Here for community only" an option?
The question is rhetorical; use your loaf.

Because it isn't just a dating site.

@Joanne @Lincoln55 I don't think you've understood my post.

@Lincoln55 I really didn't think it was that complicated.

@Gareth I think you are correct. I was just reading through these replies and it dawned on me that I had done just that--my bad 🙂.

@Lincoln55 @Joanne Skim reading - we've all done it! 🙂 Props to you both.

It's not quite sure if it wants to be a dating site.

It shows up the trolls who like to harass the people here , non believers have been hounded by by religious fanatics for millennia, burned at the stake you name it

Labels, I believe that most people who adhere to and follow a religion are deluded and dishonest. I'm a believer?

Folk may be deluded, but that does not by any means make them dishonest.

I share a half mile property line with woman I qualify as an authentic Christian. She never talks about her faith. She is inclusive and friendly towards all type of folk, and she walks the example of the Christ story to the utmost of her ability. I bought my property from her because she is a beautiful example of humanity and I love being her neighbor.

@SAMae you are fortunate, this is why I claim most not all. I hate labels and try to avoid them.

@Tooreen I wouldn't say most religious folk are dishonest. I would say that the majority involved in the leadership of those institutions are dishonest.

Concerning my neighbor, thank you. Yes I am very fortunate.There are plenty of ugly nasty people of faith in these mountains. I've led them to believe I am crazy, so they tend to stay clear of me.

People come in all kinds of groups and sub-groups. Just trying to cover all bases.

Perhaps it's more about inclusion. Or, if one is a believer and they join us here maybe they just need one good connection to finally severe the tie that binds.

0

Believer not mean ' in a god ' for me! 😉

0

Only because Agnostic dating sites do not restrict people from joining. And believers join to pester or to try proselytizing...

Kelly Anne Conway is married to George Conway? She believes in "the chosen one" and he doesn't.

Maybe I'll become agnostic or atheists

Believers are NOT excluded by status....believers are expelled for trolling and threatening us with their alleged hells nor bribes alleged by so called heavens post mortem...I block them before Admin removes each for xian behavior
....when they are inept and incoherent some may last longer here with agnostics enjoy bashing them ....if a believer chooses Atheist status and is OBVIOUSLY a liar, that should be cause for instant expulsions

0

Not really. What I wonder about the most is that so many appear to think that you might change your mind tomorrow. Maybe it's the same thing.

That answer is for Justin,
Justin Kase. Or maybe someone who wants to be truthful. 😉

@RoboGraham if the monkeys like the beatles then that is fine

@CallMeDave Everybody likes the Beatles.

@RoboGraham Apparently not.

I don't understand your question. Are you referring to the dating part or the agnostic part?
