My mother died last evening of cancer.
Though we were estranged to some degree I am terribly sad ?.
I may not be on here much over the next few days.

I'm sorry. Mother daughter relationships can be challenging. Though you had an estranged relationship, at the end of the day, you only have one mom. I sometimes wonder if part of the grief is that there is no longer a possibility of reconciliation. :-/

Take care of you, take the time you need to grieve. It's still a major loss. Sending wishes of peace and comfort and healing thoughts...

I am so sorry. My father and I did not know each other well and had just started having a relationship when he died when I was 31.

I understand the kind of the sadness that comes from that.

Sorry to hear that your mom passed on. At this time, I’m recently estranged from my mom who’s in her mid eighties. I wish I knew words to help U, cuz I know when she leaves us, I will be very sad. Hope U fair well. Let me know. Best to U.

Take your time to grieve; we'll still be here when you want to reconnect, hopefully to make you smile and help you through.

I’m so sorry for your loss 😟 whether a lost love or a death, science says it stings in the same place in the mind. It seems only time will heal the wound but having a support group of friends and family also helps immensely! Try not to be alone!

Sometimes grieving a person with whom the relationship was strained is more difficult. It can be confusing with all kinds of feels. Wishing you peace.

I am very sorry. Emotions are complicated. Let yourself feel what you feel and take what comfort in any good memories you can find. Wishing you peace and comfort.

I am so very very sorry. Look after yourself give yourself lots of time, estranged or not sadness will take its toll. Nothing takes the pain away. Just let yourself cry...and slowly you will heal enough to manage a new chapter.

Very sorry for your loss. Estrangement doesn't lessen the pain of loss.
Please be gentle with yourself. Take all the time you need.
We'll all be here when you get back. I, for one, have no life and am always here. 😉
Seriously, we're here for you.

At my mother’s funeral, a good friend softly said to me, “Keep your head up”.

Keep your head up SunnyCorazon.
