Divine, like God really, is a tittle that cannot be taken to ones self, but can only be given by another.

Right?

I cannot say I am divine with authority.

That authority is only yours to give, by judging something or someone as divine.

Can we agree and start from here?

The beginning of the end of civilization was when we gave the power of the internet to people who can’t even count to ten.

I do not know if it is you or the xmas brandy but I am liking your style.

You have me sitting here giggling.

Wish you were a Canuk. We would party.

Relax buddy.

I have faith in the up and coming generations.

We cannot produce anything more stupid than we have ruling us today.

Don't ruin my Xmas.

We will fight evil when I sober up.

How does 3000 BCE to 2021 CE add-up to 8000 years ?

You are right

5,000 years ago
........
3rd millennium BC
5,000 years ago (3000 BC): Settlement of Skara Brae built in Orkney. 4,600 years ago (2600 BC): Writing is developed in Sumer and Egypt, triggering the beginning of recorded history.

@St-Sinner . . . as it happens, I am currently viewing this (checked out from my local library) :

@FearlessFly
I watched and very much enjoyed that by subscription.🙂
Good acquisition.

You lost me, who mentioned 8000 years ?

@Fernapple . . . read St-Sinners' response above -- "'You are right" -- apparently it has been changed from the original version which had 8000.

Why limit yourself to short history?

You cannot understand the modern history without knowing why we gave up 20,000 years of peaceful Goddesses, --- for 5,0000 years of a war history under the male Gods of War.

If we could rectify that stupid male move, -------- heaven would return to the Earth.

Back in those dayz ideas of gods coming from the sky was natural and amazing. In modern times I see yard signs with "one way --Jesus" on them and an arrow that points up. Let your mind back away from that and you see earth as a globe in the distance. Imagine the signs again and ask yourself which way is up. The irony here is that our modern man still thinks Jesus and heaven are both up. Where is up?

Up, is in, as heaven and hell are states of mind.

Gnostic Christian see heaven when we look around.

What do you see.

Let me speak to the lie of Gnostic Christians hating matter.

I wrote this to refute the false notion that Gnostic Christians do not like matter and reality that the inquisitors propagated to justify their many murders of my religion’s originators. It shows that Christians should actually hate matter and not Gnostic Christians.

The Christian reality.
1 John 2:15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Gen 3; 17 Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.

The Gnostic Christian reality.
Gnostic Christian Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all.
[And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

"If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.

If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.

Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

[Those who] become acquainted with [themselves] will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living Father.

But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

As you can see from that quote, if we see God's kingdom all around us and inside of us, we cannot think that the world is anything but evolving perfection. Most just don't see it and live in poverty. Let me try to make you see the world the way I do.

Here is a mind exercise. Tell me what you see when you look around. The best that can possibly be, given our past history, or an ugly and imperfect world?

Candide.
"It is demonstrable that things cannot be otherwise than as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they must necessarily be created for the best end.”

That means that we live in the best of all possible worlds, because it is the only possible world, given all the conditions at hand and the history that got us here. That is an irrefutable statement given entropy and the anthropic principle.

I like the Googely eyes though.

They could be some pretty excellent chess pieces.

kinda nifty. be perfect for riding on the dash or making one of those stickers that shows the family all lined up on the rear window of the minivan. is that a minivan requirement?

2

And nothing more than that.

Isn't it amazing how "the god" (insert name(s) here) waited so patiently for mankind to get into bigger groups before showing up. Proof that god(s) want to be involved in government and governing the masses.

i think you may have that backwards, besides we created those fellas paving the way for "bigger groups".

Yeah, interesting how the god(s) always reside in a 'kingdom of heaven' which seems to point to the origin of the notion of heaven, the promised prize for the faithful.

@hankster Not so sure. Most hunter gatherer societies have, and probably always had, religions based on combinations of animism, spiritualism, worship of the dead, and magic. Gods as such, only start to appear as nation states and city states start to form, they come quite late onto the scene really. That is not an absolute but the general case.

@Fernapple I figured they were there just waiting on their queue. they had already been imagined they just needed a place to work. not so tricky. Early polytheistic thinking is probably just like big animism.

The masses is where the money is.

Everyone today/ as it was for Jesus, wants to go viral and be the Greatest.

Too bad, I got the naaaammmme.

Regards,
Greatest I am.

@hankster

Exactly.

It is a myth about a naturalistic religion.

In nature, there is no problem of evil.

In the supernatural religions, there is.

Supernatural was added to have something potential to argue as otherwise, humanity would have not stressed it's thinking and would not have evolved from lack of competition.

We invented god to evolve our minds.

We were not to believe in the stupid fantasies.
