ORGANIZED RELIGION’S
GLARING ACHILLES’ HEEL
(Revised Post to correct mistake)
The Agnostic approach to organized religion criticizes doctrine that can’t be backed up by any degree of credible proof. For example, passages in the Bible declare this and that as the Gospel truth. But, at this late date, if subjected to a court of law to determine veracity, all of the verses would be thrown out as unproveable hearsay.
My page-worn copy of Webster’s New World Dictionary defines faith as “unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence. It’s faith that many believers rely on to validate the authenticity of the Bible and discount the hearsay argument.
Still, the faith vs. evidence dispute leaves some doubt. As an Agnostic, I can’t prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the biblical passages don’t reflect the truth. Just as I contend believers can’t prove they do.
What if there was some irrefutable logic that even the brightest and most learned organized religion scholars couldn’t reasonably argue against. I believe I’ve uncovered an easy-to-understand argument that fits the bill. An obvious but overlooked reality impervious to any successful counter attack.
I like to share my breakthrough with my fellow members at agnostic.com. Rather than duplicate it here, your invited to log on to my, no strings attached, blog at agnosticliberalcom. Click on to “Signature Blog” entitled, Pearly Gates Probe. No personal identification, log-in or cost required.

I have no need to disprove the existence of any god. If anybody cannot demonstrate the existence of their particular god or gods then that is their problem, not mine.
@Garban Try saying that to the weapons-grade dimwits who revel in their endless and absurd logical fallacies.
@anglophone It isn't hard to convey, I never had a problem reminding anyone that they must prove what they say.
Of course at that point they usually resort to "faith".
@PapPap The answer is trivial: it is all the evil that is committed in the name of religion, including but not limited to child abuse, spousal abuse, parental abuse, racial abuse, rape, torture and murder.
Edit: you may wish to properly think out your questions before making such asinine replies.
I'd encourage you to summarize your argument(s). However, your remarks sound a great deal like the quotation by Epicurus.
For Christianity, the discoveries of evolution, and human evolution, argue that humanity could not have come from Adam and Eve. Discounting Genesis and Adam's Fall invalidates Original Sin, which is the predication for Jesus existing to be a human sacrifice atoning for Original Sin.
I really don't need an argument. I do not feel the need to evangelize christians or jews, since I am content in my beliefs. I also know how much it bothers me when some evangeloon tries to spread their religion. As long as they don't try to make me follow their biblical laws, or impose them on others, I am happy to let them practice their delusional thinking.
Never seen a religious group that doesn’t impose their bullshit on others!? In fact, SCOTUS is currently loaded with nut job right wingers, incapable of making a decision without kneeling on their bedroom floors at night!?
I was once content to turn the other cheek regarding their delusions of grandeur. But the bigoted fucks won’t be content until this country is an authoritarian theocracy…..
