Hell, you can't even go to a baseball game anymore without some woke ass Karen fucking shit up.. 🙄 Here's another CURIOUS.com story on it.

Hand over the peanuts in an orderly fashion! Roger Owens, a famed Dodgers Stadium peanut vendor known for throwing his wares to customers with pinpoint accuracy, will now be forced to hand over his goods in the conventional way. Owens has been pitching peanuts since 1962, when a customer seated far away asked him to throw him the peanuts instead of walking all the way around. Nearby guests went nuts for his perfect pass, and Owens got the idea to make it part of his sales. He went home and started practicing, throwing bags of peanuts at his couch until he could do it backwards and through his legs. It earned him a reputation, even leading him to an appearance on The Tonight Show. But now, the stadium’s concession company, Levy Restaurants, has banned him from throwing peanuts, citing safety concerns. The peanut purveyor disagrees about the level of danger. He told the Los Angeles Times, “It’s not some bullet that goes straight through. I’m always wanting to make sure that whoever I am throwing to will catch the bag of peanuts. I want them to catch it, because they feel a sense of accomplishment.” Owens isn’t fighting the decision, but admits that he is sad about it. He stated, “Pitching peanuts to the fans brings a lot of joy and happiness. This joy and happiness hasn’t been there.” Yet, there is still hope. The practice of throwing peanuts has been banned twice before in 1976 and 1985, and both times the ban was lifted after fan outcry, leading many to believe it will happen again. Maybe the peanut vendor should keep his throwing arm warmed up, just in case.

you lost me with the term "woke". A useless, meaningless term that is just part of the angry white male grievance vernacular and culture.

The term 'woke' lost you? Wow! Sorry for your loss,,,, of understanding. I wish you luck. 🙄

Living in L.A., I caught peanuts from that man in the 1980s! Twice.

Becoming a nanny state?

Pretty much..

There are so many Sally Thinskins out there that I can't help but amuse myself at their expense. I say let him do his gig. We in the retail industry know what works.

So the concession company doesn’t want the liability of possibly getting sued. Which makes sense today given all the frivolous lawsuits!?
Not sure what this has to do with whether or not Karen is experiencing sleep deprivation or not?! 🤷🏻♂️

Mr Feelgood doing it again, outraged at something that has ZERO to do with politics or anything really. That's the modern GOP, avoid real issues but get faux outrage over stuff that either didn't happen or has nothing to do with politics.

The democrat party is the one with major problems. I’ll never vote for a Democrat again as they’ve become very radical.

@Trajan61 @Druvius Why was it necessary to turn this post into a political issue?

@MsKathleen Thank you for confirming my point.

@MsKathleen Don't waste your time with this druvius character. He's too brain dead to know what page he's on from one minute to the next. It's why he's on my 'ignore' list. Anytime I see his name, I ignore what follows. Cheers. 😒

And who was this '"Karen", exactly, I see nothing in this piece about any specific person....only the concession company is mentioned.
Careful, your misogyny is showing.

There seem to be killjoys everywhere.

And what about the actual game being played on the field? Those balls are dangerous! They should revise the rules so players just walk around and hand the ball to each other.

Free the peanuts! Let them soar!
