My county has declared a State of Emergency for Monday. Why? My granddaughter tells me it is because Jesus is coming from behind the M oon and taking all the good believers with him. Oh, great! I told he we better say good-bye now.
And wgo will harvest the two million apple trees in the Fall?

It would be fun to release a bunch of inflatable dolls filled with helium during the eclipse, then go to the local mega church and tell them that they were all worshiping the wrong god.
@glennlab if i start driving right now, I can be there in time to assist in this...crank up the helium!!!!!!!!
Many Texas counties have declared states of emergency for the eclipse, but it is because they expect their emergency services to be overwhelmed by the extra traffic. Many cities report zero available rooms and places have raised their rates 1000% and more. I'll do my eclipse watching from my backyard with friends.
