I have to laugh at the absurdity in movies, and TV, where some great catastrophe has been visited on the earth and the few morons left, view it as a test of their faith. "So you believe God destroyed 99% of living things as a test of your faith?" And this makes sense to you.
Oh shit, kinda like REALITY, only
smaller numbers.

As the Supreme Being (Sir Ralph Richardson) in 'Time Bandits 'explains to Kevin when asked why He created evil: "Oh, something to do with free will.."

Yeah it's the same when there's an earthquake or some other catastrophic disaster that kills thousands, they find a baby a week later in the wreckage and it's a miracle! What!!!?

Doesn't make sense does it. Rarely watch except black comedy like "Wrecked" nothing to do with god. Or Last Man on Earth another comedy.

Makes for great entertainment. That is almost exactly what Stephen King did with The Stand. It starts out as (not so) sci-fi, with a man-made superflu virus that escapes containment, spreads throughout the globe, killing most of Humanity. The remaining people (conveniently all located in the US) start having dreams about an old woman or a "Walkin' Dude." This is setting the stage for a good vs evil showdown. It's a great story. They even made it into a TV mini-series. It's not overtly religious, and there is no real religious theme, but it generally follows what you're talking about.

Maybe he was angry at them?... He was all out of forgiveness?

I don't remember Testament doing this.

It was still so brutal a movie though.

What kind of moron, test his own creations, if he already knows the outcome?! ?

I would think just about any moron. That is why they are morons.
