Could you stay isolated for five days in total isolation as an asocial experiment?

This includes no contact interaction with the outside world what’s so ever. No computers, no phones.

I'm going to need books and my rattie boy.....and I'm good. We live alone together anyhow....

I love your rattie boy! ☺️

Done it - with full-time semester courses to study. I gave myself goals, ex: you can't wash your hair until you finish this or that. Criminal justice and abnormal behavior courses. When I finally emerge from my home to buy food or if a JW comes to my door, I speak or try to. Not much comes out at first. Talking and hearing my voice would stop me from talking, because it didn't feel right, mostly because there really wasn't anyone I wanted to talk to anyways.

I've been locked away, self discipline style, since January 3rd!

Five days, and the only rule is no outside communication? I could manage that! Usually I'd prefer to have the internet, but I'd get by just fine with books. If I could bring my audio lectures on an mp3 player, the only downside would be missing my cats!

Sure, if I was a coma. Depends on what the conditions are. Prisoners of War were treated under those conditions and survived.

Been there. Done that. Most of it was during a bout of the flu. Then there was that blackout. You know, the big one back in 2003? Just me, candles and Stephen King.

What about movies? Or books? Is it in a small room or cabin in the woods? If I had something to occupy my time, yes. If I was in a room with nothing to do it would take a toll.

A book? yep I bet I could. This past year for personal reasons I've spent 95 percent of my time without anyone around...I must admit I had a computer..but 5 days? easy.

If you are talking about total isolation I could probably do it for one or two days. If you are talking about no human contact but having the freedom to walk around books to read and nature around me that would be easy.

Do I get to have my dog? Don’t see an issue then.

I get my rattie roommate right? Because five days to him is like 5 months of his life and I would miss him and he would miss me....

I think I’d enjoy it

Not a nice experience but possible

I could probably do it, but l wouldn't care for it.

0

I would welcome it! It would give me time to think.

0

Easy. I do it all the time.

Yes

0

Probably.

I would certainly try. If I could bring as much non internet non electronic of my stuff as I wanted.

That would be heaven if I could have some books, good food, nature maybe? People as a group quite often suck and I do not trust them.
