Does anyone call and hope the person you are calling doesnβt pick up? Whenever I call I get an odd feeling and hope the person does not pick up
I hate to judge or critize people my age with little children anxiety.
@Athena You can call me out.... I grew up being very sensitive but able to manage monster in the closet, under the bed and in the backseat of the car. Coming from a generation that experienced everything from Nuclear Scare to now. I see too much "weak", too much "sensitive", in my house I was never reprimended by fighting with another kid, when "bullied" told by an uncle... come from behind, hit him with your metal lunchbox and do not be satisfied, remember is a bully and hit him again. He will never forget your sneak.... he did complained that I had the lunchbox full of rocks and his 2 inch gash will never grow hair but I was never bullied again. What I meant to say was My grandmother raised no victims, she raised Men that will handle their business. How far do you have to go is up to you. I don't get people "polling" here. I never asked a single individual in my life... "My wife wants a divorce, what I am going to do? I reckon my formation was cemented in the "lone wolf gunfighter" of the 50's cinema. I am against ownership of guns by civilians and my son owns shotgun and 9mm and my ex wife love to go target shooting (a fact I remember about her, always). My favorite phrase is "Fuck the nra". Don't do much phone. I never answer the phone. Those close to me if they really need to talk to me know the protocol, contact my sister, to let her know to tell me to read my texts. By her line of work, her phone is not allowed in her office in the building. So everything about me will be a delay. Only my 3 kids, my ex wife, former gf nearby, my buddies for 50 plus years and sisters will get a return call right away. Romantic interest is another matter handlex in a need to know basis. Hate not to be nice, but the reason this country is so Fucked Up is in the lack of a spine at the core of the individuals and guns do not give you a spine if you already did not had one in the first place. And then again you may think there is nothing wrong with this country and its population. I am a romantic, enjoy sadness as a vehicle for creativity but I am an island able to withstand a hurricane. I don't consult my anxieties.... I squash them like "Shane". Can not believe I said that but... I know is more than what you expected... Enough.... Being in the city for 6 weeks during 80's, I love your "handler" Athena.
It's anxiety I'm guessing.
I've never experienced this, so i ask respectfully, what is the purpose of a call if the caller doesn't want anyone to answer? Is it that the person calling really doesn't want to interact, calling out of obligation? Or is the caller afraid of something else?
I'd appreciate understanding. Thanks.
just a thought and not speaking for OP but it has crossed my mind that people better with thinking about words they use before typing vs speaking prefer text.
Text is kinda fun when a person has a way of tweaking grey matter in a way they can't convey in spoken word but dammit. I hate text convos because I can require a lot of words before I get my point across & don't feel like writing a college essay each convo.
I have a weird dread about talking on the phone. I don't like answering when someone calls. It feels like such an intrusion. I hate small talk. I don't know where all that comes from. I feel a little silly admitting it. ?
You're not alone!
Sometimes...but I am practicing, just not calling to begin with!
Yes! Particularly at work, I chant "don't pick up" while the phone is ringing.
If my phone rings, it better be a god damn emergency.
LOL! yes! Then when they call back I don't have to answer.
Yes. And that's also a Seinfeld episode.
Sadly I do. I must try and work on that...........
