If it was just a case of human beings giving way to natural forces, then priests and nuns being allowed to mary would help. But if it was rape, NO!!! Rape is not a sexual outlet. It is a violent crime driven by need to control and humiliate!

There isn't. Numbers don't lie.

The molesting of a child is rape. The rape of a nun is as well.

While it may not have intended to be, the Catholic sex scandels work like an experiment. Each church is separated from other churches by congrigation and by Creed. There are a mass, pun not intended, number of subjects. The primary variables are sex deprivation and Creed.

What you have stated sounds passionate, and in part is true, but your end conclusion is likely wrong.

The article does not say if the pregnancies are from rape or caused by priests. Maybe they were consensual, enjoyed and from secular sperms!

The artical also states the church is investigating these matters. Which is the Chatholic code word for hide the guilty.

It's not funny....Vatican enforces celibacy to prevent heirs to church property and valuables....if a renegade priest is getting African women pregnant and now some nuns ....this guy will become a scapegoat for all the rapist priests the Vatican is protecting and aborting the young pregnant girls to kill the evidence

Where do you think at least 50% of the babies adopted out by Catholic Adoption Institutions AFTER the HUGE expose regarding Lime-pits in Convents grounds hit the news in the late 40's?
Prior to that expose, Nuns who fell pregnant to Priests gave birth to their illegitimate babies and the babies were thrown ALIVE into those very same Lime-pits then covered with lime powder to be dissolved away by it.
Catholic Priests have been playing hide the 'holy' salami with Nuns, and Altar/Choir boys, etc, since Priests, Nuns, Monasteries and Convents were invented and THAT IS A KNOWN FACT.
Cardinals, Bishops and POPES themselves have either been regular CUSTOMERS at the Brothels in Rome and elsewhere for Centuries OR even Owners and Operators of Brothels.
Catholic 'celibacy' has always been one the cloaks behind which these Priests, etc, have hidden their foul and nefarious sexual activities for centuries and YES, the Pope and the Vatican HAVE always condoned it, sheltered it, hidden it away UNTIL recently when it WAS finally revealed to the eyes of the world at last.
My attempt at humor WAS based upon the Nuns being proclaimed as "The Brides of Christ" and ALWAYS remaining 'virginal' as such.

@SeaGreenEyez in all fairness the article was VERY short and VERY sketchy on details and the fact that "THE CHURCH" was investigating "PREGNANT NUNS" is a SCANDALOUS incident of the highest order WHICH IS PERPETUATED BY THEIR BIZARRO POLICIES TOWARD WOMEN...which caused this to happen in the first place...their attitude toward women and sex is what has instigated all this abuse of women and children...the nuns were either #1 raped by a Priest or priests...#2 local scumbags...#3 they had a wild weekend and someone forgot to bring the raincoat. If it was #1...my statement stands...if it was #2 they wouldn't have been raped if the Church didn't have their rabid control over women..as they would be leading normal lives and hopefully not be put in the danger zone...again my statement stands...if #3 they are leading a schizophrenic lifestyle...caused by the frikin churches control of women...my statement stands...just trying to add some in-site as to why and how two nuns get PREGNANT...its all about the damn Catholic Church in the end ...is it not...we are AFTER all Athiest and Agnostic and our prime reason for being here is idea exchange.
