So today was just another weekend. I moved earlier this month to a new location, and I moved a few years ago to my previous location prior to this move. It is hard to connect with people here. It made me to start longing for the connection I used to have with an ex. I loved her but the relationship wasn't going anywhere due to the long distance apart and the growing differences in mindset between us, and everything gradually went cold. My family and long time friends are far away as well. Many people seem very reserved here and making friends looks like hard work. These are some of prices that one has to pay for chasing one's dream. I don't regret it though. I'm only hopeful that I will find the connections I want

I have moved a lot (6 states and 2 countries) and it take 18-24 months to plant roots, meet the right friends. It will come.

I think any connection is going to take work. Some people you have an instant connection to but if you don't put work into the friendship that friendship will fade over time. In my experience there is nothing in this world which doesn't require work that is worth having.

Been there, done that. I t gets better with age. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm happier with who I am now than when I was your age. You can message me if you want to hear my story.

I will
