For those who cherish intimacy, human “touch is a . . . nuanced, sophisticated, and precise way to communicate emotions . . ..” I ask, was it long before the current pandemic arrived that true intimacy had departed?
Masked, dwelling in a masked society, and physically distanced provisionally, I remain optimistic as I contemplate a thought written by James Baldwin: “Love takes off the masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.”
