My late partner would have kicked my butt if she thought I was still mourning after her years later. We talked about this and she, being more of a realist than I said that her mourning for me would be short. However, mourning and memory are 2 different things. One will never forget but one has to go forward.

It will get better.....in my experience anyway. Tomorrow is a special day for me....8 year anniversary. No real sadness, only happy memories and he will be in my thoughts more than usual tomorrow.
