Well, I sold our home. I transfer the deed on the 4th. The place is decrepit. I kind of feel bad for the buyer. He got a good price. I am sure he has no idea the work that is going to have to go into this house. I hope he is able to get a good profit for his investment. I have been going through 20 years of stuff. Boxes, pictures, stuff I am taking, stuff I have to leave. It sure has not been easy. 20 years we lived here. The longest I have ever lived anywhere. I have been through a lot of hard shit in my life. This is a tough one.
Hugs coming your way. I hope the future holds a lot of kindness, love and new friendships for you whenever you decide to move.
It’s a tough one . When I moved from Canada I did a little every day I donated a great deal of my stuff ( made more sense since I was moving to another country) and kept the things that held special memories. On some days I could not handle it so I did nothing . Sending hugs
I feel for you...my house is old too, and my son wants me to sell up and move to a smaller, more manageable place ....I have so far resisted, but it would be a massive task deciding what to take and what to throw out after, in my case, 35 years. Good luck for your future....you don’t say where you’re moving to. Maybe it’s going to give you a new lease of life, I hope so. You’ve had hard times in the past, now it’s maybe the time for good things to come your way. Good luck with the move anyway.
