Do we have any idea how many members are actually active say since the start of December? I look at some profiles and realise that that person has written nothing for a year or even more.

I joined about a year and a half ago (I think) and posted some comments right after that, but hadn't posted anything until recently. I've discovered some other groups that I've gotten to be pretty active in, so I'm a regular now. But I don't post every day either.

It varies.... I'm always here because I have to keep after a group, moderate make sure it's okay. But I drift in and out for sure.

So you are a shepherd! This group is your flock. Is that one of the rewards of level 8?

I log in every day. I don't usually post often, though.

I'm here,and still alive

Very good! In some London clubs it was said a footman would wander around gently prodding or tapping people to ensure that they had not entered the never never.

@rogerbenham lol... love this exchange! ❤️

I don't pay much attention to it personally.

I'm here as a widower but am also remarried so not actively grieving anymore. So I drop in now and then when I feel I have something to contribute. People have different reasons and priorities for being here.

Interesting. I am not really grieving any more. She is not here and she's not coming back. Her vitality is no longer present. She is becoming removed and remote. Not here. I am entering the me. I am planning for me. I am wanting but not trying too hard. But these weird % signs we have if we state we are looking and those who are also looking. Well My top one was 87% which suggested a great match (based on what parameters I don't know) so I looked her up.She lives in the opposite environment to me and 5000 miles away at least. Then I looked at her postings and they lasted about 6 months but stopped 1-1/2 years ago. Strongly suggesting she either died or found a mate. People are so secretive that if they died who would know on this site?
Anyway I think I will soon leave this site as really I couldn't care less what others believe as long as they don't push their ideas down my throat. Some people on this site are so obsessed with being agnostic or atheist. Really it does not matter. Hide not your light under a bushel and all that.

@rogerbenham Well if your main reason for being here is meeting a significant other I don't think this site has the "critical mass" (sufficient volume) to be a particularly good resource -- especially if you're not looking for a long distance relationship. It's a cheap experiment and you might get lucky, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I'm married so am here strictly for conversation with semi-like-minded people. The site works fairly well for me on that level.

@rogerbenham I would suggest you try meetup.com in your area you might meet some like minded folks there. We've had some folks have luck through here - heck I have a roommate and best friend. But not everyone is so fortunate.
