Of course I agree with that. I myself am a case in point. It doesn't take "intelligence" to figure out Christianity is a fabrication. All you have to dig just a little below the surface brainwashing, with an open mind, and voila! You're there. WHY some people are able to do that and others are not...it's easy to come up with a list of plausible reasons. I doubt it requires even AVERAGE intelligence. Other than that, there's no difference between believers and non-believers, except at least non-believers get the one basic premise right, so they build their logic upon that firm foundation. From there, though, faulty assumptions, false seconday premises, whatever due to, as you say, stereotypes, sloppy thinking, upbringing, socializations (peer pressure), you name it, can affect conclusions. We all do that.

The double standard is alive and well. It's tempting to think certain broad classifications of people are immune, but not so. If the wo rld was populated by ethical PEOPLE, period,, and if societal values were redrawn to reflect said enlightenment, no such fine distinctions would be necessary. So, while it's exhilarating to have rarefied, high-minded discussions about this subject, it's also instructive to keep in mind the day is far off when such ideal conditions will exist it will replace present-day standards, ethics, and laws. Having said that, certain subgroups DO exist, such as intentional, utopian communities which, if they maintain their chesion and exclude oppotunists and hypocrites, can at least for a time enjoy a more highly-evolved way of life. A legitimate question remains, however, for how long?

Alcohol killed my SO, and until I finally got my panic attacks under control, after I hit A rock bottom and got help, it ruined my life over and over and over again. I don't know what the original question was, but I can confirm its destructive power. Pot? Just don't like it. Makes me depressed and paranoid. I don't think it's a "gateway drug" any more, since it's getting legal more and more places, but at one time it was, for some. I vape CBD, the marijuana derivative, and it seems to work as intended without getting you "stoned." Other than that, tried lots of drugs recreationally, but no urge to do them again. Maybe I'll do lsd or mescaline again some time, but I really don't care if I do or not.

I'm not obsessed.. really!!

I just assume women are the stars of EVERY show, not men. We are here to compliment, praise, serve and cajole, not rule. My mother was the Matriarch of our household. My father was there, but didn't make the decisions, discipline anybody, or do much of anything around the house. He was the breadwinner but gave the paycheck to her every week, called her "Mama" and deferred to her in every way. He was raised a Presyterian but "converted" to Catholicism to marry her. She was fundamentalist, devout, pious about her beliefs, he was diffident about his. So, I never really took him seriously. Mom was the "boss," and I see all women that way, even though I know in society at large they are considered only officially equal. I consider women truly equal, if not superior, in every way. And it's very difficult not to think they would be better stewards both of society and the planet as a whole. I think men in general embarass themselves, frankly; some are an absolute disgrace. In fact, many times I feel sorry for women, that they have to endure their brutal, animalistic behaviour. So it doesn't surprise me in the slightest some atheist (and agnostic) men try to dominate and denigrate women. Seems to be in keeping with the male paradigm, if it can be called that. They attempt to maintain control with brute force, belittlement, and shaming, because, I think, they know their rightful place and refuse to accept it.
