I wore hearing aids into my 30’s but after growing up on a farm running loud tractors without cabs my hearing was pretty much shot by the time I was 30. They don’t tell you that when then they sell you hearing aids but each new set of hearing aids I purchased was more powerful than the previous pair. After a while I realized they didn’t make a powerful enough hearing aid. With the Cochlear implants on the other hand my hearing has remained stable. I got one cochlear implant in 1989 and one in 2012 and they both made a big difference.
