There’s a wonderful liquid solution that cures just about everything if you drink it. It’s called bleach.

Masturbation for temporary relief of lack of sexual activities with the opposite sex. Works well only very short time fame.

But it works... every time.

For a cold, 8 ounces of cheap Italian red wine heated to nearly boiling. Drink all at once, cover up and go to bed and sweat that shit out. For everyday crap, spark one up and let the world roll by. That's all I got.

@FynTul Then for you, Nyquil.

@FynTul whatever works for you.

I grew up with vinegar as the all purpose cure all. I still have a difficult relationship with pickles and sauerkraut.

  1. i fell down on highland boulevard in los angeles and scraped the top of my left big toe. i was running for a bus, and had no time and nowhere to clean the scrape, which didn't bleed, until i got to my destination. the delay was sufficient to allow the wound to get infected, and for the next MONTH, i visited doctors, got creams and ointments and oral antibiotics -- my foot got worse and worse. it hurt, i could hardly walk, and the pus-filled swollen wound itself was simply disgusting. the docs wanted to give me a shot. no WAY. then i remembered how a friend of mine had gotten his finger slammed in the car door and healed the wound with goldenseal. i hope i am remembering that right now! (he always looked a little resentful, telling that story, since, as he put it, his wife had slammed that door on his finger!) so i got some powdered goldenseal and sprinkled it on the wound. within an HOUR the pus had dried up. within three days i had only the faintest scar on my toe.

  2. i was a walking well of flatulence. it was embarrassing -- and painful. i remember missing my bus stop more than once because my stomach hurt so much i couldn't move from my seat. i went to doctors; they were baffled. finally i went to a doctor who, i remember, had a very bad cold, and he ordered a barium upper g.i. he looked at it and declared that i had colitis, sneezed and began to leave the room. wait! what do i DO about that? eat right, he said. what's eating right for colitis? oh, you know, he said. well, i didn't. i knew what eating right was, but for colitis? not a clue. there was no internet back then in 1982 (i'd suffered with this for years, too). so i got a book about herbs and found that the one that had worked on my big toe was also good for digestive issues. i concocted a potion of goldenseal, catnip and mint, and brewed it up, and threw it right out, so foul did it taste. i brewed it every day and threw it out every day. then i forced myself to drink it. i drank it every day for a month. i forget now whether i drank it once, twice or thrice a day, but i was diligent. at the end of the month i no longer had any symptoms of colitis. i was symptom-free for decades but now i have ibs. i try to remember to take goldenseal tea when it gets too irritating.

  3. a friend of mine tried to kill herself. she did it right, too: lengthwise razor-blade cuts up the arm. she changed her mind, though, and called me. i urged her to come to my house, and she did. i treated her wounds with goldenseal. she yelped. goldenseal can be extracted with or without alcohol; unfortunately for her nerve endings, the kind i had was extracted with alcohol and it stung, as you might well imagine. it probably helped disinfect the wounds, though. the goldenseal itself is an anti-infective and something of an antibiotic. her wounds did not become infected and, um, she got help.

  4. recently i developed a nasty, ugly cyst on my face. it started off looking like a zit but it grew into a really disfiguring blemish. i went to a dermatologist who declared that it would never go away on its own but i could prevent it from being more infected than it already (mildly) was with a steroid cream. if i wanted it gone, i would need surgery. i wasn't up for that, so i used the cream for two weeks, the maximum allowed, and it stopped being infected but that was, in fact, it, just as the doctor had said. however, i had some cbd oil lying around. i applied it daily, and once in a while i also applied a poultice of water and baking soda. my cheek is now cyst-free. all that remains is the tiniest red scar, which my fiance told me today, coincidentally, looked nice! (okay, he's kind of weird.) actually, i forget whether i had put any goldenseal on it before seeing the doctor. if i did, it didn't work, which is odd, since it has such a good track record with me. there are no panaceas! i mean, i don't recommend goldenseal for cancer, and i don't recommend cbd oil for a broken arm, you know? but i know what has worked for me for what problems, and i think my body is made up of the same basic elements as any other human's.
