Does anyone else sit in with a book on Saturday night or am I dull as fuck?
While I do read alot, Saturday nights for me are often spent doing other activities. If you enjoy reading on Saturdays, then you certainly are not dull, always do what you enjoy and don't worry about what others may think.
I do that too. Or TV. But then, I'm an old fart.
'Looks like we got us a Reader' to quote Bill Hicks.
Most of my friends are Readers too, probably because I don't like to go out on Saturday night and hang around with a bunch of people in a bar who are as dull as fuck.
That'll learn him to walk into a waffle house with a book. Ha!
Saturday night and Sunday is usually the nights I take off. I don't read books with my eyeballs, but with my ear holes. I work a job where I'm by myself all day long. I also work 5 days, plus Saturday untill noon. I listen to books (and podcasts) all day long and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I usually sit in on a Saturday and watch a movie. This is assuming I'm not working.
I sit with the good book and a graven image or two, looking for inspiration, but last year when the word became flesh and I stoned my neighbor to death for working on the Sabbath, almost got caught. My advice, read a science or fiction book.
I guess I’m dull as f...k too.
You could always go to the beach and read a book. You are in Swansea.
Interesting perspective. Why is reading viewed as dull. I read more serious nonfiction than anyone I know, and yes, sometimes on Saturday night. How is sitting in a bar drinking tequila with a bunch of jocks, and I am a jock, any less dull. What did the man call the alleged POTUS, a XXucking moron. Rather be home with a book than hanging with an orange moron!
Doesn't sound dull to me. I have had trouble reading lately and have been watching documentaries. I think knowledgable/well read is attractive and impressive.
Yes, but I never claimed to lead an exciting life.
