I stated 10 years ago that we could have a shooting damn near every day in this god infested country, and republicans will still see no problem with guns or our gun laws…..well here we are!!🤷🏻♂️

I had an extended 'online conversation' with one of the ardent gun-lobbyists last night. More fool me, no good came of it. He just kept repeatedly spouting crap - for example he said there were not too many guns but too few, and if we could get guns into EVERYONE'S hands this slaughter would miraculously stop.

Oh, and I'm also a communist, socialist libturd - but heck, I'll wear that as a badge of honour.

It never occurs to these asswipes that maybe EVERYONE doesn’t want a gun in their hands….🤷🏻♂️

If you defined a mass shooting as four or more people getting shot, then the U.S. averages more than one every day.

As I have often said, republicans are only "moral" as long as it requires no personal sacrifice on their own part. They stop caring about "life", as soon as it is out of the womb, because to continue to care would require some personal sacrifice, which they are just not willing to do.

Quite the xtians they are indeed.🙃

You called it homie. Do you have to be so right all the time? Damn.

I’m not your homie, and I’m far from right all the time….😉

I would agree with your statement if it didn't have a major flaw, the god forsaken bullshit, if anything this fucking country is doing exactly what the christian right wants, and I am sick of it too.

Hence it being god forsaken!? Not sure where my flaw is!? 👀

@Buck there are no gods and for those imbeciles who believe in a god, like the christian right, their god is actually helping them to get what they want, hence your flaw, because for these fools, their god ain't forsaken them but actually making this bullshit happening.

I don't blame god for how fucked up our system is, I blame our voters for not waking up long ago and voting out the two major parties for a third party that would be responsive and effective on not only gun control, campaign financing, and economic reform, because it's not like the Soviet Union, where no free elections were allowed. We just had too many blind voters that would never take a chance on electing leaders who were not bought and corrupt, even after decades of proof that they were, and after better candidates from third parties were available as a choice. All we need is people being willing to take a chance, collectively, to start voting their hopes rather than their fears every time, with lesser evil voting or not voting at all.

If we had "instant runoff" elections, also known as "rank choice" elections, where you can vote for a slate of candidates in order of preference, then there would be no more "lesser of two evils" voting, and third (or fourth, or fifth) party candidates might very well emerge as winners. Until we get rank choice voting, we are probably going to be stuck with a two-party system.

@Flyingsaucesir The major parties would never allow that. They love having their duopoly and not having to be responsive to anyone but their donors.

@TomMcGiverin Exactly

You win. 🫤😢

There are no winners when it comes to guns in the US….except for the gun manufacturers and the NRA I reckon?! 🤔

@Buck And maybe both major parties. Like abortion, they both raise tons of money and rile up their bases over these two issues, but generally don't do anything serious and lasting about either one of them, until now, on abortion, from the Repubs thru the SC.
