How many of you actually care about the royal wedding? I won’t tease you.
I want to watch it but I don't get into hype.
@Hellbent it isn't just the royals(they are the only ones I watch but not really the point). Think about some of the other shows on t.v. i.e. the bachelor/ bachelorette rediculiousness, the televised Kim Kardashian wedding, then you have the tabloids following all the rich and famous to see what they are doing - marriages/divorces/affaires... etc.
Just a couple of humans making vows in front of a religion-promulgated court. I don't believe in the "Divine Right of Kings" and the idea that one bloodline is more important than another. It's ridiculous and long-outmoded. I've found that even some British people who are non-believers still get upset if you point this out, though.
Not at all really.
They are adorable though.
I think his mother's greatest gift was teaching her sons that they could act like humans in public.
I'm definitely interested in it. I won't be waking up at 4am to watch; but i will probably tape it.
The who ?
No. I wasn't even aware there was one happening.
Now that I do know I didn't need to.
Actually, I enjoy it. I grew up on the Canadian border and Canada is part of the empire. Also Queen Elizabeth's mother and I shared the same birthday. My ancestry is heavy English. So, I simply enjoy the pomp and circumstance. Kind of a bright spot to distract my mind for a bit from monster tRump.
The only thing that I find in anyway appealing is the bride’s being so far from what was once an acceptable choice. Other than that I could care less.
How much less....exactly ?
(couldn't resist
@Slappy_Longarms Her mom is a yoga instructor and social worker and is African American. Her dad lives in Mexico and they are divorced. Markie is herself an actress and has been divorced from Trevor Engelson. None of that bothers me but not all that long ago, it would have pretty much made her unacceptable for the Royal family’s views. What I find appealing is that things are changing even with the pomp and ceremony of the Royals. I find that encouraging but everything else about them is what I don’t give a crap about.
@gearl - Very nice thoughts. Mine are that the royal family needed a boost to keep their jobs, and this is a great PR move.
@GoldenDoll That certainly is plausible.
I was/am marginally aware there is a wedding and who is getting married. Beyond that, I don't care.

I am sick to death of this Royal wedding, an extra person who Australia will blindly, partcially support, plus whatever children they have. I am sick to death of hearing all this belittling garbage about Megan’s family. I love Diana for taking the posh out of the Royal family
Diana was totally posh. From the same breeding stock.
She was only chosen because she was the only aristo still a virgin at 19.
