I met Cheryl on Halloween night, 1981. We were married the following March, on Friday 13th. She succumed to cancer Dec 2016, so this will be my second Halloween without her since 81 and our 3 year old great grandson still asks after her.
Sorry to be a drag but I had to get that of my chest.

It is a steep price to pay but hopefully the years before made it worth the cost

You are no drag! We are all here to support one another. We all need to get stuff off our chest from time to time. I hope you will get more off your chest whenever you need to. I am going on almost 5 months now of losing my darling man on June 22. I come here often to share, read, and try and support others who need it. Please know this is a wonderful group of human beings who do actually care about one another. I feel so fortunate to have found this site.

I underwent that heartbreak in Aug. I met Sonia in 1991, and we were together until this year. It has been very difficult, but all we can do is to try to carry on the best we can. You have my condolences

I am new to the group, but, I do not think you can be a drag here. Youre among kindred folk. Grief is a bitch. I am going into my third holiday season without him & it still is as painful as the first. Any time you need to, feel free. I don't think anyone will mind.
