Whats your weather today, May 14, 2018.

About the same here, but without the mushroom cloud. Suppose to rain tomorrow dropping the temps below 90.

Social Stigma Around One Night Stands
AstralSmoke comments on Nov 8, 2017:
I don't think of one night stands as have anything to do with 'friends with benefits'. Friends or buddies imply that you know them (somewhat). 'One night stands', to me, implies you just met them. Social stigmas are ridiculous; a way to control.

AstralSmoke comments on Aug 18, 2018:
I'm sure that was very dramatic for you. Can you think of a better way for your father to pass than this? I'm sure you will miss him. It sounds a bit shallow, but I'm sorry for your broken heart.

AstralSmoke comments on Jun 5, 2019:
For clarification, I read the article. I believe people have always had problems with abstractions of any kind. We've constantly been moving away from 'realism' since the Renaissance. There are a lot of things people don't understand as our world 'progresses', even the best educated. As far as art goes, I don't think artist have lost skills or popularity. Perhaps to the masses, but I'm not sure art has ever been important to the masses. True art, for me, is still about skill and theory and not repeating what has already been done.

What do you think of heathens? How would you describe a modern-day heathen.
AstralSmoke comments on Nov 5, 2017:
Interesting question. I'm not looking up the given definition of heathen, just to give a more honest approach to what I think a heathen is. To me, a heathen is someone that goes against the religious norms of a given society. With this definition, there are lots of heathens out there. People that practice witchcraft come to mind first, but any cult follower, Jews probably, atheist for sure. Anyone that doesn't 'practise' the societal religious norms. I like heathens, because I like it when people go against the norm.

I just read the best name for Jeff Sessions - The Keebler Nazi. Can I get an AMEN!

Interesting. I do feel it's very important to take care of the family and sometimes putting that priority above my own. I need to remember to take care of myself too and sometimes that means putting the priority of myself above family.
