So who else is perplexed by the change in attitude that many on the left have had lately pertaining ...
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 12, 2023:
The question I must ask here is, are you genuinely shocked by such double standards? I'm surely not. Most social justice advocacy movements nowadays are hypocritical to the core, regardless if such movements lean more to the left or right. They are motivated by political correctness, and not logic or reasoning, and for the life of me I don't understand how jumping to conclusions and automatically assuming all men accused of such are guilty could be considered anything even remotely liberal. The real liberals think logically and aren't dictated to by emotions, and go by the evidence first before concluding someone is guilty of a crime. Leave the unbridled emotions and accusations to the social conservatives I say, because that's about the best those folks could do.

I’ve never liked John Kerry as he’s an arrogant asshole windbag typical for most of the idiots ...
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 12, 2023:
As some other media sources had covered that story, it appears to be true, and that the farting sound did come from him. No surprises there, politicians like him are full of gas, and they're also naive to believe that other major world polluters like India and China are actually listening to their concerns. Also, guys like Kerry are polluting the environment far more than a guy like me could ever hope to do.
Dr.
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 12, 2023:
Hopefully that becomes a new trend, and that trend spreads all over the world. More and more people all around the world are getting sick and tired of either extreme left or extreme right politics and their false promises, and Argentina is an example of that discontentment.
Going by today's posts, Agnostic has become the domain of spammers.
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 11, 2023:
Being that a number of the longtime members have given up on this site since the first time the security certificate was allowed to expire, and consequently the overall participation on the general feeds has decreased, I don't bother much anymore with the public feeds and thus don't often cross paths with the spam accounts. The groups are where it's at now. No need to turn the forum over to the spammers, as they wouldn't get away with posting junk posts in most of the groups, so they need not be a worry. As for the last question in your post above, as long as the groups are still mostly functional I'd say it's still worth continuing on with this site. That said, guess such a decision would be up to each individual member.
Does size matter more to men or women?
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 10, 2023:
Strictly based upon my own direct experiences with women and how I would size myself up, I'd conclude men dwell on that far more than women do. I say that, as actual performance (and satisfying your special lady, guys) would be more important than how well equipped a guy is. Would the man in question be able to pleasure his wife/girlfriend, as being more well endowed would not compensate for lack of experience and performing poorly in the sack. For years now I haven't dwelled on that much, and are just content with the way I am. Wanted to throw in there that in my early twenties I had entertained at some local hen parties, and now pushing forty years old I entertain in similar fashion on the adult site Wetspace in my spare time, and not once did any woman I had entertained ever give the impression they cared about size. So I agree with your conclusion.
Can a caucasian say I’m proud to be a straight man or is that sexist and homophobic?
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 10, 2023:
It's often been said that pride comes before the fall. That aside, I think everyone should be free to be proud of whatever they see fit to take pride in, and pride such as that only becomes a problem when one starts to manipulate and coerce others into supporting only your views. So no, nothing sexist or homophobic per se about being proud of one's sexual orientation, although personally speaking I could think of a number of other qualities about myself that I'd take potential pride in before being proud of my straight sexual orientation. Some of the things my fellow human beings take pride in does make me wonder...

SpikeTalon comments on Dec 9, 2023:
Well... that would depend on what sources one is reading from. I have a feeling that reading from sources like Breitbart or Salon would probably still make one stupid regardless of them reading, lol. That said, I get the point you made above, and generally speaking reading is a good thing that more people out there should try sometime, and a good start would be to read the whole Bible so one could see firsthand just what a bunch of bunk that book really is.
funny how that works
SpikeTalon comments on Dec 9, 2023:
When one has a personal agenda of the sorts in which they feel compelled to defend and uphold under any and all circumstances even if proven to be wrong in the end, they will then vehemently resist anything that could prove their viewpoints wrong, hence they could view learning as a negative force. Indeed, funny how that works, or maybe not so funny that much afterall. Please note my restraint on the fact that far too many fellow human beings out there have a problem with reading itself, let alone the ability or will to learn new things. Too many hate reading anything that might take longer than two or so minutes of their time.

Don't really care for any politicians that are running these days, let alone trust them. As for Trump, I haven't forgotten what he did regarding our gun rights (the ban on bump stocks), and any politician who attacks our rights like that could very well do it again, and all that leads me to distrust him. Our 2A rights are among some of the most important rights we have (Bill of Rights), and once a politician undermines any one of them it will be hard for me to trust them ever again.

And that is the question. 😁 If Yes, please explain why. If No, also please explain why.
SpikeTalon comments on Oct 23, 2023:
No. By definition the word "wet" simply describes what happens when a liquid and a solid come into contact with each other, in this case the saturation of the solid by the liquid. In other words, wet describes the actual state and or result(s) after an interaction, and not the object or entity itself. What we humans would call/label as wet is merely a perception, and not so much objective fact. Scientifically speaking, wetness is defined as the ability of a liquid to adhere to (cover) something solid, and that quality is measurable. Take for example a piece of wood and fire... if the fire comes into contact with the wood, the wood will burn. Likewise, if water comes into contact with the wood, the wood will become wet. If we are to believe water is wet, are we also to believe the fire itself is burnt? Hope that answered your query.
This will scare you.

I'm curious as to what my fellow libertarians think about the homeless/unhoused epidemic going on in...
SpikeTalon comments on Oct 13, 2023:
I find it strangely ironic that a progressive state like California, with all of their progressive socialist ideas/laws, own the worst record where homelessness is concerned. As for addressing homelessness directly, here are some ideas. Start with repealing most laws that criminalize addiction, as many of those currently sleeping out on the streets are there precisely because they had suffered from varying addictions which got them in trouble with the law, which in turn helped to disenfranchise them. Once someone is jailed over addiction problems it can be difficult to put their lives back together again, namely staying employed. A (relatively) victimless crime like addiction(s) should not be harshly punished as much as being treated for said addictions, as help and compassion is what those people need. Private charities are another option, and throughout my life I've witnessed countless times people helping out total strangers simply for the sake of helping out, and often times private entities could be of more direct help to others than the Government can. Some of the zoning and land use codes/laws either need to be totally reworked or done away with altogether, as often times such laws are too restrictive when it comes to alternative affordable housing options like small rental units or mobile home parks. Redundant laws are helping to put more people out on the curb and keep them there. Lastly, if the Government wants to invest our tax dollars into something, perhaps focusing more on continuing adult education would be a sound idea, as better/more education usually means higher wage-earning jobs or at the least stable jobs with a stable paycheck. Again, private entities and charities could do more in that department than the Government could do, and there are such organizations that do help low income/poor individuals with continued education. As for personal experiences on the matter goes... have not experienced many such incidents over the years, and Pennsylvania is not really known for being a poverty-inclined state. Of course, there are exceptions, in particular major cities in the state which see a higher level of poverty and homelessness. Philadelphia comes to mind as being one such example, and it's worth noting that city has long been in control of progressive leftwing individuals, who despite their frequent claims to be on the side of the poor and downtrodden, curiously enough appear to be making the problem with poverty even worse.
A few memes appropriate for today. Kind of sounds like a good day to just stay in bed perhaps...
