I do what I want

I’m up early with my dogs. Eat breakfast, read the local paper and the New York Times. Then weather permitting I go for a nice jog/walk session. After that depends upon what else I need to do !

Sleep in, walk the dog, feed the fish, feed the dog, get back in bed, waste time on social media, water the plants, (maybe) smoke some weed, do whatever the fuck I want...

I can say this: today, as some Sundays I met my very good friend (yes, girlfriend) at a coffee shop, which gets very crowded around 10AM.

Drink coffee and read a book.

Drink coffee, read the news, cut the grass, exercise.

I'll tell you what I do NOT do... RUSH! I lollygag at home as much as I want: sleep in, eat the breakfast of my choice, leisurely sip on the most awesome cup of coffee or tea that I feel up to preparing, and spoil my cats with cat nip and string or feather play.

I got up, had breakfast, played a couple of crossword puzzles to get my mind going and then I fired up my backhoe and helped a neighbour by moving a bunch of pallets full of heavy landscaping blocks from his front yard where they were delivered to his back yard where he needs them.

Work. I work everyday. Start running as soon as I get out of bed. Oh, and my dogs wake me up around 5 am.

You called it - sleep in ...though, with some early morning starts.. my circadian rhythms are apparently set to early ...then I come here ~

Praise the Lord for.....wait, shit that didn't come out right....MORE COFFEE PLEASE !!!!!!! ???

I woke up at 4:30 to go to work.

?? I've been up since 4:30 working on a consulting job online.... and then checked guests out of the BnB just 30 minutes ago -- stripped the beds, started laundry, vacuumed the two bedrooms, living room, and dining room, washed and dried breakfast dishes and put them away....

In two hours I'll head out to a Buddhist meeting and by then the BnB will totally be clean and reset for the next guests.

Day off? What's that? LOL

Work.

Lay in bed, read, coffee.

You mean...after I look in to see what YOU all are thinking? I do behavioral research observations on elephants for the zoo. It's fun.

I no longer get the Sunday anxiety that Monday is a work day. It's taken years of retirement to get that out of my system.

I get up a bit late, make coffee, listen to NPR, then cook a hot breakfast, get washed up and do whatever chore strikes my fancy. In the fall, it's usually getting the garden fixed up and firewood.

Had a routine that a neighbor and I went to the early Sunday morning matinee at the local theaters . Trying to resurrect that with another neighbor , who is caring for her husband , who is operating at about the 2 year old level , since his last stroke . She needs a little , "time off ," now and then .
