Early in life, my sense of intimacy and trust was betrayed. I fell into this situation because I was naive and had poor judgment. I get that. But I've never been able to trust my own judgment in relationships again. Because of that, I continued to make poor choices. There were moments in these relationships I've had that I can treasure, but the relationships were never sustainable.

I think I've given up. I think I will have more success just enjoying the moments that come to me without striving for any relationship any more.

Is that bad or is that just a place a lot of people come to anyway?

not sad...we are still in touch often...I am very happy with her life now 🙂

I am sure that in time you will find someone who makes you feel like that again. I know it doesn't seem like it today, but you never know what the future holds.
