Once, I was one of those people who stopped at every painting and every installation to look at it in a gallery. It was an artist friend who taught me - look at what you like, and don't waste time I what you don't. Some people love the Louvre, and good luck to them. I actually got more enjoyment from watching the four man squad from the French military on security detail outside. Seriously, dude, they moved exactly as you would expect in Afghanistan. One guy was always watching their back. Entertaining and chilling, at the same time.

@Lysistrata It's a novel about Jesus and Lucifer - both thrown out of their respective celestial planes - and they need to work together to work it out. There is blasphemy, swearing, a lot of drinking and eating. Some gun play. And the coolest Pope ever. So, you know, it won't play to the church going community.

Indeed, good man. As far as I can tell, I'm out. Blown. Prospects are zero. But that's okay. You work with what you've got; this is what you've got; you work with it.
Is age just a number?

My then husband and I were driving to the other side of town to visit friends and I had dressed up and put on some moderate makeup. At the time, my hair was blond and I was probably in my late 20's. Some guys driving by yelled something about being an old, pruny bitch and my husband just laughed ...

Pretty fortuitous for me seeing this post now. Maybe half an hour ago, I happened to come by a video of me on youtube from about five years ago. I typically have a thick skin, but weight has always been a sensitive issue for me. And at the time of the video, I had really ballooned in weight, dealing...

I am so happy that you feel better about yourself. My ex struggles with her weight. It's not easy. I have watched that battle, for years. Take care of yourself, kiddo :-)

This is a true story. A young mid 20s co worker. I asked her to name The Beatles. "Ringo," she said. "Because he did Thomas the Tank Engine". Then she frowned. "I think there was George." Then she delved deep - "Paul, right?". I affirmed. Then she gave up and said there was a fourth one, and she didn't know his name. This is a true story.

A fight? I want the Stones. They're gritty and willing to get down and dirty. ;) Music-wise, I go with the Beatles, but just barely. I love the music of both groups, but there nothing quite as great as Abbey Road. Also, Lennon wrote what is basically the agnostic/athiest anthem, Imagine

@Ozman Jimmy Barnes with a bottle of vodka and Shane McGowan with a pint of stout would also do the trick.

@fathercat Okies. I really don't care what your musical tastes are. Because, frankly, life is too short to care about what other people think. I will listen to whatever I like, and I find new music every second day. Landing on Water remains a terrible album.
