The following is an answer Ann Druyan had for a fundamentalitist who claimed her husband, Carl Sagan, converted to Christianity shortly before his death.

"There was no deathbed conversion," Druyan says. "No appeals to God, no hope for an afterlife, no pretending that he and I, who had been inseparably for twenty years, were not saying goodbye forever." "Didn't he want to believe?" she was asked. "Carl never wanted to believe," she replies fiercely. "He wanted to KNOW." -Ann Druyan, Carl Sagan's widdow, from Newsweek magazine-

This is how it should be...I will always admire this man.

... and we still do not KNOW- and inventing foolish answers, and foolish gods, is NOT the answer. Ya, and each invented, loving god, is better than the last invented god---- and they will be happy to kill you- if a person does not believe in THEIR loving god.

If more people felt this way the world would be a much better place.

The ignorant bigoted cruelty of xians terrorizing a widow has always happened to great Atheists Voltaire home where he died ridiculing a visiting priest....that home was converted to a bible publishing house a book that believers never read if they did they would be Atheists also
