I can't see it happening but the answer would be no. How I do it is the question. If I wanted to push a button I will say.. " Nah.. you're too much like your father now." Which, in my opinion, is true but she is estranged from him and would probably be quite insulted at the thought. Or If I don't want to push a button I will say. " I talked about this with my therapist in a 'what if'' scenario.. I came to the conclusion then that I should suggest you talk to someone and try to find out why you want to return and I stand by that thinking today." I honestly hope I never run into that situation.

On a different note.. I lived near the equator for a year. The days have pretty much the same amount of sunlight all year round. The solstices aren’t as big a deal as in more northern or southern locations.

I'm not shocked at all. Believing in a creed requires a certain amount of willing moral ambiguity. Whether it's a tribe with a sacrifice ritual or a crime family or secret society or.. an organized religion.. they all seem to require a sharing of a crime as part of an observable loyalty pledge or behavior, In the case of your co-workers, they have bought into the notion of their god's righteousness which allows them, as a collective, to accept inhuman action by an inhuman entity as having a higher purpose over self.

I have 2 sons.. neither one were circumcised at birth as it was not a procedure that was deemed necessary by the "system". If we wanted it, it would have been considered elective surgery. We chose to let it be and now they can make whatever decision they wish about the modification of their own body.
