I've always viewed the two main parties this way... Dems - Tax and spend - elitist pussies who always back away from a fight even when they have the votes to win. (Think Obama's first two years!) They want everyone to feel good about some sort of a consensus. They like to cry and whine a lot. They want to hear everything but then argue about it all. They end up looking like babies. GOP - Borrow and spend, troglodytes, oafs, brutish bullies who want to govern by beating up on others, deregulating government to help business but harm people. You cannot explain anything that makes sense to them as they will just say, "That's not true!" as their proof. (Or flat-out ignore you!) These guys can't govern because they are taking too much time checking their bank accounts for graft money or trying to pick up sex in a bathroom stall. They end up looking like assholes. (Or for them!)

Do you have some beliefs other than religious that you feel very strongly about or at least strongly...

My mom died last year and my dad back in 1995. I recently started a "family wall" that has their pictures in the center and my favorite ones of growing up all around them. My sister and I went through a big box of my pictures from us all growing up... What a trip down memory lane. Pictures do it for me... But also songs and smells. Great picture!

My dad died during an operation back in 1995 at the age of 62. It was sudden and it was a shock. It took me years to get over and I still think about it a lot. My mom died 2/4/18 after being in and out of the hospital for over a year. Her passing was expected. There was a huge difference in how I processed the two. I had my mom move in with me almost a year before she passed. We said everything there was to say and I have absolutely no regrets. The same was not true with my father. There are thousands of questions I'd like to ask him. I felt regret about not going out and flying his RC models more. (Or any number of things!) But both of my parents raised me to find my own answers... I am sure your parents did the same. I brought home a minibike when I was 10. The engine wouldn't run. My mom was adamantly opposed to me having it. My dad worked it out that if I could fix it all by myself... I could have it. I took that engine apart down to the last nut and screw. After most of a Saturdaay taking the engine apart... When I saw the bent valve roll across the table top... I knew that was it. I still remember taking that valve upstairs and rolling it across the kitchen table in front of my dad... He just smiled real big and said he would help show me how to lap a valve and then I needed to put it all back together. I ran the snot out of that thing for years... Until I bought a motorcycle that had major wiring issues. Fixed that too! I still remember my dad's smile that day and that was 47 years ago or so. Whenever I have a victory in life... No matter what it is... But usually a project that requires thought or an unusual fix... I always think back to that day... And then smile the same way my dad did!

I imagine they weed out people based upon bong-hit pictures and those playing drinking games that are stupid enough to post it online. (Usually Facebook) I do know that they will compare your LinkedIn page to your resume. If they don't match... You are automatic toast!

It gets better over time but you never get over it all the way... In my opinion. I was together with my ex for 20 years... Married for 13. I was blindsided by her affair and busted her after being suspicious for a few months. I still don't know the whole truth but am at a point where I am moving on and really don't care any more. You will have your days where you think you've turned the corner and then the next week the same feelings come back again. It gets bearable and you'll learn to deal with it. The best thing you can do is to work on a project or get out into the world and meet new people and go to new places!

Windows 95 was not a product of ID... It was a product of corporate profits. Clackers... I STILL have a set of those! They never shattered. Lawn Darts gave new meaning to "Taking one for the team!" The 737 Max has a software glitch that causes a pitch down command when it senses a stall. Boeing made it dependent on 1 sensor alone. If a pilot disconnects the Auto Pilot he/she can recover. Unfortunately... The pilots in both crashes fought the AP until their demise. The software fix will make stall prevention dependent on several sensors instead of just one. Strangely enough... The FAA was in discussions with Boeing before the government shutdown. Then work on this was delayed. The software fix *might* have been implemented prior to the latest crash if Trump wouldn't have been an asshole!
