I spotted a woman the other day who posted something like, "Is this really a dating site? How does that work?" She had no picture... I suggested she upload one... Which she did. It was stolen off the internet from a "Porn Moms" site. (Google image search) I busted her and then the thread disappeared as did she... I guess she quit or blocked me. Too funny!

My mom, before her passing, urged me to tone down my Atheist rhetoric as she felt it made me come of as holier than thou... So to speak. I usually don't go around broadcasting that I am Atheist... But if the subject comes up I don't avoid it... And I don't care who is in the room.

Anybody else wish they could just leave the family behind and just drive.

I don't blame you... I've been to Jamestown, NY several times! Birthplace of Lucille Ball... And that's about it. You either work at the Lucy Museum or at Dollar General. My old brother in law lived there for years. His wife grew up there. Driving in there I thought it to be a quaint little town. My bro-in-law was fresh out of the Army and his wife wanted to live near her family. He was an ex tank mechanic so he got a job at some heavy equipment place in town. My ex and I spent several Thanksgivings there. Looks like it used to be bustling around WW2 and then hit the skids. A nice place to visit... But no way in hell I would live there. If it is just you... Get out! If you are married... Grab them and go!

I admit I am considering to do this in the backyard as soon my son moves to Florida and leave me in ...

I love it! I've always been the one to frame out, plumb, run electrical and finish a basement, etc. In my last house... I left notes in all the weird places so that if anyone took apart my work... They would see my notes to them.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree! She called me today and apologized for ever bringing it up. She said she was a little embarrassed and was afraid I thought her a lunatic. My first reaction was to ask why she should feel embarrassed about her beliefs. That would be like me telling someone I was an Atheist but too embarrassed to discuss it. I told her this made me worry even more as now I felt she would try to hide something from me instead of her standing up for and even debating or defending her beliefs! I asked her to give me a few days to think about things and I'd call her Wednesday night. For the heck of it I asked for ONE thing she could point to that made her a "believer" in the 9/11 conspiracy. She mentioned a film called Loose Change on YouTube. I have been watching it and can pick the whole thing apart as it is total BS. Another case of "alternative facts!" I can also design a conspiracy theory about anything if I wanted to waste my time doing so. I'm pretty much chalking this up to a weak minded person who is susceptible to things like this. There are a lot of them out there. She's just a weird mix of things I kind of admire (If they are indeed true) and things I cannot live with. Either way... I could not seriously date her in the future. Just wow! I never met a conspiracy nut in the flesh. Like an onion... Peel back a few layers and it makes you want to cry! Ha!

This could go for either gender. :) Just a great one liner, had to share

Thighs... Either BBQ or slow roasted on the grill. Though I also like slow roasting (2 hours) wings with a little garlic salt and lemon pepper. They come out as almost fried with less fat. Delicious!

Why am I here? I found out 3 Christmases ago at the dinner table when my mom was still alive. My dad was a contractor for the US Government. He used to install electronic eavesdropping equipment on trawlers and such. It was February 1961 and he drove through a blizzard with the family and barely made it to a little motel in Bar Harbor, Maine. It was a cold and frigid night. All of their belongings were supposed to be shipped and make it to them. The one thing that didn't make it was the box with the contraceptives. So I was conceived on that night. Thankfully his next assignment was in Hawaii... Where I was born in November of the same year. I am the only one in the family without bronzed baby shoes! :(

I've worn a Rolex Submariner for over 20 years now. It is rated for 300 meters. When snorkeling I've been down maybe 4-5 meters max. But it is nice to know I don't have to take off my watch for anything. I like durable, proven things.

I go to bed (past) and wake up (present).... I am sometimes lucky enough to have interesting dreams in between! If you REALLY want to have fun... Keep a journal by your bed and make yourself write down your dreams in detail when you wake up. You may then, over time, become a lucid dreamer where you realize you are dreaming inside the dream. Then you can rewrite it to suit you!

I have tried them all, for the most part. I spent a day filling out questionaires for eHarmony... Only to find out that 90% of women never fill theirs out for a potential match. Most are filled with scams... Just crash your cart into someone interesting at the grocery store! I am dating someone now so I am off all of them. (I don't consider this a dating site.) I know. But the only thing that is going to help you here, I feel, is time. You need time to sort out your own feelings. Those feelings are ones that need to originate from within YOU. In my mind, having someone here tell you what to do is just as bad as having the church tell you what to do... You need to discover on your own what path is best for you! It's not easy and sometimes it is downright SCARY... But that is what we all face at some point. Tell your friends and family that you need space to get through this and that if they push... They risk pushing you away and YOU don't want that... They shouldn't either. Come back here and read and post. I never went through what you are going through... I had different life experiences. But others here have and I would think it would be a great support group for you to help figure things out!

Okay... I know I will probably get hammered for this here. You do not KNOW their beliefs are false! There is no way for you TO know. They cannot prove there is a god and you cannot prove there is not. We all have our own beliefs. I choose not to go around telling christians they are crazy... Just like I don't put up with them tell me that I am. My mom was in and out of the hospital for months, off and on before she passed away last February. I never once prayed for her as I felt it a waste of time. The hospital reverend would always try to come in the room. I would just say... "I am sorry... Family only." She just walked right in one day... I get it... It's her job. But my mom was unconscious and I just kept working my crossword. She asked a few questions and I gave her one word answers. She said she was going to pray... Hey... Pray away but please don't include me. I find it strange that a therapist wouldn't understand how terminally ill patients might turn to religion in their last moments. When I am told about someone who is nearing death... A friend, their family member or even a friend of a friend... My response is always.... "I will keep them in my thoughts!" As a therapist I would think you are there to provide comfort... Not to try to convert them. If you are uncomfortable with this... I would find something else to do.

Since I live rurally... I tried Farmers Only. I had a nice email one day that I responded to. Nice profile, pretty picture, etc. After a round going back and forth it came out that this person was actually emailing around trying to find someone for her friend.... Who was incarcerated! A moving story of going to jail for writing bad checks to save the family farm. Um... Yeah. I had another who I actually met and took to dinner. A beautiful widow in her 50s who owned a horse farm about an hour away. Over dinner she told me she doesn't believe in premarital sex (GULP) and that she thinks Donald Trump is so smart. I was SO uncomfortable the rest of the (now) brief date.... She called me 2 nights later berating me because all I wanted was sex! She called me two weeks after that wanting to borrow $5,000

So I have a similar issue.... I have work gloves for projects. One wears out and I keep the other. Strange, but I don't recall ever recall losing just one glove. Dress or work. I do have an issue with socks escaping the hamper and making it over the wall. One escapes every now and then... I'll keep the other, waiting for the partner to show up. I was going into a meeting a few months ago and was walking across a showroom floor. I felt something on my leg and looked down. A sock had clung with static to the inside of my pants and let go just then. I kind of looked around and saw two salespeople watching me. I looked at the sock and then at them. They both said, "It's not mine!" I laughed, grabbed it and stuck it in my pocket...

ANYTIME someone tells you they are a "Good ANYTHING"... Steer clear! I work for a national lender for auto finance. It is my job to train auto dealers. (While avoiding the pirates!) If a salesperson starts telling me how good they are... I immediately know where and who I need to start training. And dealers... I had a dealer in a very rural area. In the first paragraph of our conversation... She added, "I'm a good Christian woman!" By the end of our conversation... She was dishing dirt on everyone in town. In the end, she was a sweet woman and we developed a friendship (as I do with most of my dealers)... In this case... I'd say she was "a nice, normal human!" Sheesh

I have never had any problem expressing my feelings.... Only how those expressions are received/perceived. It is something that I continue to work on. It is easy for me to express positive feelings and have them come across effectively. But I need to put more thought sometimes into how I express myself negatively. (IE, the current political climate.) With negative emotion... I tend to just spit out what is on my mind. Not always a good thing. Something to think about... Sometimes it is not that a man cannot express his feelings. The problem is he doesn't LISTEN so he is not sure what his feelings should be or how to express them. I am in sales so whenever I do a presentation or sales training I always use "checkbacks" to make sure I am being understood and they are hearing what I am saying and that they understand its meaning.

I feel sorry for your loss! I have a sister who is also an ardent Trump supporter. We avoid the issue. But she fell off a horse 20 years ago and sustained a brain injury that almost killed her. I attribute her fondness for assholes because of this... And who she married. But that is another story!

Let me play umpire and call him....... OUT! (With best umpire voice) Apologizing is easy when you are told your (apparently) repeated shortcomings. Just my opinion, but this shows character flaws... Not little mistakes. I would think that if you got together... You'd repeatedly have to nag him to help with things. I just met someone last week. We had a few dates and I invited her over to my house this past weekend. When she showed up she had a little bag of custom made sweets from a cakery near her. (I had told her of my fondness for sweets on our first date.) I cooked her steak and shrimp on the grill and she was repeatedly asking what she could do to help. I told her this is what I like doing but perhaps she could help in the future. THAT is what you are looking for!

I have had times where I am too tired for sex after a long day working in the yard or other strenuous activity. And yes, I have had partners say they didn't feel up to having sex when I wanted it. I blacksmith stuff. I also have gotten into coppersmithing. I am in the process of making a chandelier that incorporates rusty iron, copper leaves and stained glass. If I can picture it in my head... I can do it!
