I've got one that seems funny now, though it wasn't at the time. It was many years ago when I was in my 20s. I was dating a girl, and we were at a party with some band-mates of mine and various other people. After a certain amount of time, I would say, "Well, we're going to leave now." And everyone would say "No, no! Not yet! Have another beer!" This went on for a while. I kept trying and they kept persuading us to stay. Finally someone said "Why do you want to leave anyway?" And, being kind of angry by this time, I said "Because we're going to go fuck!" We left, but needless to say, we didn't have sex. She was not happy with me.
