While everything is taken place in the world right now, how many of you have starting talking to God, and Pray that you stay alive, and well?

Not me. I look for science that will help me decide what actions to take.

3

Yeah, no

Make up your mind.. You're confusing god 😊😂😂😂

@Cutiebeauty But he supposedly knows everything! I shouldn't even have to respond.

Not me.

I've always believe that when it's my time I'm going no matter what.

3

To what end? When you and the correct time meet you'll still be dead. 🤔

I am Never "talking to myself", I have a dog!

I AM a dog, and talk to myself all the time!

Never crossed my mind once. I don't believe in fairy tales you troll.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. God is all powerful, omnipotent and sees all thing past and present being creator of all. So, he created this virus with complete knowledge of its destruciveness. He is also a loving god, even though though he tortures us with disease and pestilence, intentionally, and have us burn in hell for all eternityif we don't say he'spretty. With forethought. Why in the fuck would I worship such a bipolar asshole? Enlighten me, and if you say faith I will follow all your posts and troll you till you die.

I like your attitude, dude!

@AnneWimsey sorry, I rant sometimes

@clarkatticus noooo, spot on!

No just wishing the mainland Chinese would not eat rodents like bats and rats.

I haven't felt the need for prayer in more than 20 years. I am 100% convinced there is no god. I wouldn't want to meet a god that allows suffering like the human condition. I do not pray that I will be alive and well instead I listen to doctors (not the TV quacks) and wash my hands as well as stay home.

2

I’m putting my hope in science and policies that don’t kill more people. Praying never crossed my mind. Who knows what I’ll do if I or someone in my family gets sick.

They say that "there are no atheists in fox holes." We aren't there yet.

there are lots of atheists in t fox holes. [ffrf.org]

All my friends I met at Fort Bragg Military Base said there were plenty of Atheists in fox holes, but no priests in fox holes..

When one thinks they're talking to God, they're really just talking to themselves. There's a meme that believers hold on to--one that gives them reassurance--that nonbelievers eventually abandon their doubts and seek God in times great stress or at the end of their lives. This is pure fantasy. In any case, if there really were a creator, she-he-it wouldn't need us to dirty our knees or beg for a favor.

I have been isolated for three days now and starting to go stir crazy with nothing to do. The Christian/Jewish God can't help me here, I have to make up my own fun.

Go make some pasta. That will make you feel better. And its real.

@PondartIncbendog ALL HAIL THE FSM!

Why, if he talks back you are insane or already in a death state!!!

Delusion is always a road to redemption?

@TonyCarl1 -- I am forced to wonder how it is that people who don the mantle of rationality in one area, say disposing of the belief in gods, can at the same time hold on to any other form of irrational bullshit. Are you able to explain that?

@aintmisbehaven -- That's not an explanation.

This is a joke, right? I talk to my little dog...she agrees with everything I say except "bathtime"!

which one?

I posted this just to see how many hypocrites their were on here, good stick to your convictions, like i do

I'm doing more meditation along with denials and affirmations. Allergy season is here as well, so I often have to remind myself that my occasional scratchy throat and slight congestion doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a goner. So far so good. Gratitude does create positive conditions within our minds. Expressing gratitude for your current state of relative health is always positive, whether through prayer to a higher power or conversation with another person, both have equal value.

1

not me I know I will die sometime nothing to prevent it. You can not take risk eat as good as you can and hope some disease did not take you out.

Anyway, to your point, I personally don’t pray like that, but sayings like “there are no atheists in fox holes” Do not generate for no reason, imo 🙂

As has already been mentioned somewhere on this site, Yah Is the one who made the pandemic, and after all 80% of us are not even going to notice it when they get “infected”

That's a ignorant thing to say. All military are religious? Are you kidding?

@PondartIncbendog hmm, i would deem that slice of the military "crowd wisdom" i think, at least arguably
