it's not that i don't remember what was number one on the charts on my 14th birthday. it's that i paid no attention to the charts and would not have had a clue what was on them in any position, much less number one. i didn't even like rock 'n roll until i was 15! at 14 i was listening to the incidental music from egmont, by beethoven, and an album called "invitation to the dance" that had some short classical pieces on it by liszt, weber (whom i didn't like that much) and others. there were others but those spring immediately to mind.

Ummmm, the #1 song the week of my 14th birthday was "One Bad Apple" by the Osmonds. I don't remember that one at all.
14? Guess it is because it is the freshman year of school for most??? Anyway, the #1 song on my 14th birthday was Honky Tonk Women by the Rolling Stones. I think I saw them in concert in maybe 1978? I know it was in Philadelphia. Still and always one of my favorite bands. Not sure how that song defines my life....LOL
Opposites Attract
-Paula Abdul and The Wild Pair
Although I wish it had been "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, but that wasn't released until the following year.
I was hoping for Bad Girls by Donna Summer but it was Sad Eyes by Robert John.
I was hoping mine was “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.
@balou one of my favorite songs!
Oh that was a great song
According to Hot Billboard, it was "Shadow Dancing" - Andy Gibb
"Centerfold" The J. Geils Band. - No, I don't see it. I mean, I might have made the wrong decisions. Maybe I should have been a Playboy photographer?
"With a Little Luck", Wings
Always liked that song.
@chucklesIII Me, too! I was pleased... (;
This, apparently. I suppose I remember it
Love this song. Sing along every time it comes on the radio.
