Do you think there are any religious people out there who could cope with me playing this clip to illustrate my views towards God and religion? i.e. Would they be able to keep the same level of friendship/love/respect for me after watching it?

It is also one of my main issues with the “good god” idea as well. It’s a serious issues that the good god theists have to deal with and respond to.

The majority of them, of course, will hate this. But some might be forced to at least question their blind acceptance of God's so-called goodness. Then there are those that are secretly struggling and tired of trying to make sense of the contradictions. It was an article similar to this reasoning, that helped me to admit that I was an atheist. Stephen's answer here is dead on.

I wouldn't want to be seen to be attempting to challenge/change their faith. I would feel like a hypocrite. I would like them to have/consider acceptance that this is my point of view, I'm entitled to it as a fundamental human right and it shouldn't have a detrimental effect on our relationship - i.e. ask themselves "Am I practising what I preach, believe and/or have learnt".
Brilliant! The man makes sense, and that's something that religious people cannot tolerate. It would be a very rare find to find a religious person that would not be willing to make your feelings an issue. I love this particular clip because it illustrates how God is only responsible for the wonderful good things in life but who takes responsibility for the plethora of horrible things that plague humans?

I think all people of religion would take offence, in different amounts, at the way it challenges their belief and faith. However, would any of them think I meant no offence to them - I am simply using it as an aid to express my own personal view of religion?
