I guess I'm finally among fellow romantics? Where feelings matter, words do hurt, and a drop of appreciation could fill an ocean basin? Looks, sexual market value, smile, funny, blah bluh blah blah blah blah. Be honest. How do you wish your significant other was? Like, if you could use a sharpie on the button that, when pressed, what be a character trait, what would you write? You only get one, it doesn't exclude anything, but it's so important to you that you could accept them regardless of their flaws if only they had this one trait that you write on that button.
Personally I think respect encompasses all of the others. If you respect someone you're honest with them, you give them the respect of being autonomous adults, free to choose their own path etc. It doesn't matter what attribiute you think is important, even love, without respect it is nothing.
Just one trait? My ideal partner exists but is out of reach. I couldn't possibly pick just one trait.
He has to be smart enough to find me fascinating. I've dated guys who like curvy girls, I've dated guys that thought I could take care of them or their kids. I've dated guys who didn't want to be alone. I dated one guy that could have been the one, we loved to discuss ideas. He had some other issues, including distance and mama jerking him around. Yes move, but my heart...
I'm sapiosexual . If a man is intelligent enough , he'll know enough to get the rest right - that requires mutual respect , education , caring , sharing , admiration , compliments , fun , hard working , and all the other good stuff , without any of the bad stuff - no abuse of any kind .
Respect is high on my list
I can respect that.
It can't possibly just one trait that would negate everything else. Maybe more important to list one thing that is absolutely required. For me that would be integrity.
I am with you on this one...a close second would be a sense of humor.
@EyesThatSmile Yup, that is also a requirement.

Posted by LetzGetRealMy family has often commented how I should become a "cougar"... as I look pretty good at my age and have a younger mindset than some of my peers, I guess this is there rationale?
