I am at home 90% of the time I have cameras that cover my entire property. I have cameras that watch cameras you can never be too careful. I have 3 dogs that always let me know if something fishy is up. Just in case someone could sneak past the dogs the guinea fowl and geese carry on like a traffic jam. The house is alarmed. I do not sleep much so usually I am up at early morning hours.

My mother married a guy that abused us when we were kids and she was as she claims that she was nieve that it ever happened. The huge problem with the education system is standardized expectations. I have met many people the have failed out or dropped out of school that are even more driven to learn and improve themselves. Just because someone sits in a classroom and studies this causes a degree of arrogance to develops in their egos. It, of course, does not happen to everyone. What then happens the educated people tend to look down at uneducated and that type of prejudice is by far the worst.

The doctors do have me on medicines they however only work in conjunction and have sideeffects. I live with pain arthritis in my back where L5 and S1 have been replaced booth knees have had meniscus repaired. I have wondered if an invention will ever come around to suspend your body in liquid that allows zero pressure on your body to let sleep be restful. The middle class may be able to afford to use the hemp oil after they replace the older machinery that requires petroleum. @Paracosm This is my argument, during the prohibition time alcohol was made illegal people got inventive and made their own bathtub gin and created still in their garages and basements which in turn caused a lot of house fires. My point with this is, start taking firearms away from people and they will find a way to create makeshift firearms with no safties on them what will the mortality rate be then? (as the humor, goes no guns a pipe bomb in every purse).

The media really does scare people with this. 40,000 out of 300,000,000 people die from gun related accidents only a very small fraction of that 40,000 is on purpose. 40,000 people die in car accidents on holidays and supperbowls which is horrific. A car is a 1500 lb weapon ,how many people would give up driving if the car was declared a lethal weapon?

@seattlepanda Not doing anything would be worse than doing nothing. There is no easy answer. However education and protocol goes a long way. As we all know too well that tens of thousands of military people carry guns every day and very few shoot at each other.

@seattlepanda They tried methadone clinics for people addicted to drugs so what happened methadone replaced an illegal drug habit with a legal one so now methadone is stolen abused and murdered for this is just one example of many. Abortion was made illegal back-alley abortion clinics became popular, alcohol was made illegal so what happened a kid could get alcohol as easy as buying candy. In California, they made it illegal to buy more than 2 Nyquil along with various other over the counter meds. What do the meth labbers do they just visit several pharmacies with a fake ID and buy the products. They did not solve anything except make it harder for the normal person. I just put this here for a correlation so you can imagine what solutions people will come up with by putting restrictions.

The last one is where the biggest problem is on your list. The argument is taking away guns and solve the problem not. Taking away the guns will only open a door for more victims. The criminals will all follow the law and turn over their unregistered or stolen firearms (not) The law-abiding citizens will turn over their guns and then a few minutes later be robbed, raped maimed or murdered by the criminals that followed the law and disarmed themselves wink wink.
