Are you a "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" person? Either way, best wishes to you and thanks for participation this past year! And yes, it's a beautiful tree: [zmescience.com]

"Best of the season to ya!" Covers all the bases.

Had to laugh as all the gifts was common in my house during this time but my parents fighting over how much everything cost did not bring 'peace'.

After a really nice xmas eve dinner with family and friends which I and everyone else enjoyed, I brought up that in my opinion although I fully enjoy and promote xmas dinner and commaradery the mandatory gift giving is a tradition that promotes climate change. These are all people that profess a need to combat climate change. I stated that much of the gifts around the country may end up in the trash or at a thrift store. IMO Xmas gift giving encourages waste and over indulgence of tons of packaging, shipping, wrappings and cheap "stocking stuffers" from China. Xmas traditions as well as other habits are a part of the promotion of greenhouse gasses. Unfortunately most people are willing to talk about combating climate change but are not able to change. We need to find enjoyment in tackling climate change rather than the temporary high of unwrapping a gift. I know I was downer but they are all way younger than me and it will be they who inherit this environment.

I say Merry Xmas....cuz it is Xmas. Say what makes you happy.

It is christms for some. It isn't christmas for me any more thsn it is ramadan for me when muslims are celebrating it. It is what you perceive it is. But if you are greeting someone else and it isn't christmas for that person, what is the point of your greeting?

g

@genessa my point is it's Xmas. Say what makes you happy.

@AzVixen52 My point is that for yiu and many others it is christmas. For me and many others it is not christmas. It has nothing to do with what does or does not make me happy. If it is christmas for you, i wish you joy of it. It is not christmas for me, nor do i need it to be. I do not need anyone to wish me joy of a holiday that doesn't exist for me, especially anyone who already knows that. It isn't the end of the world but it is unpleasant nonetheless.

g

@genessa whatever makes you happy

@AzVixen52 I guess you didn't understand anything i said. It doesn't make me happy. None of it. It has nothing to do with happiness. For me it is not christmas, regardless if ny happiness or anyone else's happiness, and your repeating what you already said after my careful explanation is, quite frankly dismissive, which is condescending and rude.

g

@genessa I absolutely understand. Do what makes you happy, and I'll do the same.

@AzVixen52 You most certainly do not understand. I am through with you. Bye.

Whatever you are, have a wonderful day with friends, family and food, with warmth and laughter and a day of brightness in the dark of midwinter.

Ya, nothing like lotsa self-indulgence- especially for those who are already self centered.

THANK YOU - peace and happiness be yours/ and those you
love !

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Season's Greetings. You know Fox Noise claimed that all the secular people were trying to take Happy Holidays away but now I here that Donald Trump brought it back. Where did it go?

Happy Holidays to you, too.

If I initiate I'm typically "happy holidays". If im responding I typically reply in kind with whatever greeting was initiated.

Same

I rarely initiate conversations. For this, I typically just reply, "You, too."

Sometimes its Chappy Challahdays, to yank someone's chain. I like Peace on Earth. Merry Christmas for those Christians who are so shell shocked from the war on Christmas they have PTSD. Snowflakes are treasured individuals!

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Season's Greetings! Peace and lOve! Boats and hoes!

Either. I guess it depends to whom I am speaking.

0

Depends on who I'm interacting with. I try to taylor my response to the audience, since it's all nonsense anyway. 👌😆

I haven’t read all of the comments but I know some of us are fine with saying Merry Christmas in kind. So funny that the faith think there’s “a war on Christmas by the atheists!”

...fine. Please waste your time doing something about that and leave women’s rights alone for awhile.

Happy National Bacon Day too!

0

all of the above. this year, I taught my kids about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, and Festivus as well!

0

i like “happy holidays” but i grew up only saying “merry christmas” and most of the people i know celebrate christmas, so i haven’t totally broken the habit with strangers yet

0

I always say "Happy Holidays"! Christmas was never a part of my holiday celebration (I grew up Jewish), and though everyone assumes I celebrate Christmas, saying Happy Holiday's is my way of reminding them there are other reasons to celebrate in December (both secular and religious holidays).

Answer D: All of the above.

0

I'm also a Happy Xmas person--where X is your favorite thing to celebrate. And I typically celebrate mine on the Winter Solstice with bacchanalia and LOVE!

0

Either is good
