I completely believe that the US government needs to be completely revamped and revised before we can actually do any good for this country. But - taking that out of the equation, for now, I'd really love to hear people's (honest, respectful and mature) reasons why they do or do not support Trump. (or is unsure). Please, no disrespect or rudeness. He is our president and deserves at least the respect that position affords him (that does not mean we agree with him, but we shouldn't be slinging insults and such)
If I had to choose between trump and shoving a thousand rusty nails up my vagina into my uterus and then going horseback riding saddle me up
He has done nothing to earn any respect. He's bullied, threatened, and incited violence. He has put children in concentration camps. He has sexually assaulted a dozen women and girls and nominated a rapist judge.
Where I come from, respecting someone like that enables a dictator.
And if you want to shake hands and let that pig walk all over you, you are no better than the Germans who did nothing when hitler rose.
Respect is earned. It is not freely given just because of a title.
@LadyAlyxandrea ............This is what happens when you buy into the mockingbird media. Compare released documents with what MSM has been feeding us for decades.......I personally think something should have been done about the CIA media machine years ago....because some people aren't in my position of knowing the purpose: perpetual wars and supporting their groomed marionette. Unfortunately for the deep state the people started to wake up, and the blatant 20% uranium give-away, incessant pay to play, wikileaks, coupled with a true outsider set the stage. You didn't get your groomed puppet with Ivy League debate chops but you got somebody that will speak for the people and not for the military industrial complex.
@Mikie1977 you are hilarious if you think that billionaire toddler cares at all about the people. A man that spent his life scamming people and throwing tantrums on Twitter from his gold toilet has no fucking concept of how to help THE PEOPLE.
@Mikie1977 Dude!! You've got to be kidding me!! The "uranium give-away" is complete BS as there are several stages (9 agencies) of approval that such a transaction would have had to have gone through. It's been clearly shown she was never involved. In addition, the bulk of the $145M was sold by Frank Giustra (Clinton Foundation donor) 1.5 years BEFORE HRC became Secty of State. Both parties have been involved with 'pay to play', Wikileaks was and is 'agenda' driven...HRC is a classic centrist who promotes the congressional-military-industrial-complex (Eisenhower had said this originally before his outgoing speech removed the word 'congressional', but Trump is the 'village-idiot' who has been manipulated (quite easily) to support their agenda. And Trump DOES NOT speak for the people; that is pure delusion and ignorance. The 'tax reform' is a classic BS example of how the wealthy (elite et al) literally steal from the people and Trumpy was all over it. Now, besides a very unstable market has moved from a 'bull' position to a 'bear' position, wages are still flat as major companies who benefited from the 'tax-giveaway' simply bonused C-level employees, purchased huge stock buybacks', paying big dividends to stockholders, and almost nothing to labor (in most cases). Get your facts straight. JFK wanted to trim back the CIA and was killed for it. BTW Bernie was always my choice and that's because he was FOR THE PEOPLE, unlike Capt Orange Bonespurs
I knew it would be heavily "Don't support," but that is by a better than 10-1 margin.
I think one of the main reasons Trump is so unpopular on this site is that athiests value the truth, and Trump lies all the time.
I agree and have to say that I chuckled at your name.
He lies, but he also tells the truth. He renegotiated NAFTA and took the USA out of the Paris Climate Accord, the TPP, and the Iran nuclear deal. And telling the truth isn’t a requirement for the presidency. When Eisenhower lied about Gary Powers overflying the USSR no one thought much about it. In fact, it would seem that lying is required to be an effective president. Trump’s lies tend to be about things like the details of his sexual life and how much he paid to try to cover that up. I frankly don’t agree with him about some of the things that he’s been honest about, but I can’t care less about his sexuality or what he says about it.
@ArturoS no, he lies about everything. He lies about his business ties with Russia. He lies about the wall on the US Southern border. He lies about infrastructure spending, taxation policy, health care, the mid term election results, international affairs...
And this isn't a matter of opinion, it's a matter of public record. He constantly says things that are provably untrue.
He is completely untrustworthy.
@MrBeelzeebubbles Good list but you forgot lying about crowd size. He's got a dick up his ass about crowd size.
@MrBeelzeebubbles If you want to keep your doctor ....you can keep your doctor. I was paying $2400/mo for a family plan...and that was group insurance through my employer. This was over a third of my take home. Deductibles went up astronomically the next year so all that premium cash was like throwing $100 bills out the window every day and then pay the doctor and dentist like you didn't have insurance because until you reach the deductible; You don't. I had to go through two of their local doctors listed before I could find one who wasn't some flunkie weirdo.
@ArturoS Trump is nowhere close to knowing facts and just gone along with a far-right, wealthy elite agenda that crushes the middle and poor classes. 'Climate change' is a REAL issue, and nothing to be ignored. Only idiots keep their heads in the sand. Take a time-out from FoxNews (and the like) to gaining knowledge available on this topic (suggest Michael Mann). He's been lying EVERYDAY, he's been tracked on his consistent inaccuracies, for example, stats about immigration issues saying immigrants statistically do more crimes, but the actual reality is the opposite, and so much more. He lies about people, big and small things ALL the time (not about his sex life and monies paid); lately he claimed that the Obama's home in Wash, DC, had a 10 foot wall surrounding their (FACT: they have only a fence about 5 ft tall and their home is visible from the street as well as from their neighbors. NAFTA is still a bad deal and he didn't do the negotiation because he doesn't have the knowledge. And, finally, the Iran deal was actually a good one (the money returned to the Iranians was their money we had frozen over the years) and his approach has been considered reckless by most media sources (The Economist, Post, and much more). And telling the "truth" is a requirement of the presidency when it comes to matters of security.
@ArturoS, @Mikie1977 When Obama first made that remark, it was true. Then, within a couple of months, insurers made changes that weakened the plan. I get that you were really screwed by the system, but upon research, you'll find that the Republican's went way out of their way to thwart the ACA's effectiveness simply for pure political advantage. Example is where Sen. Rubio added a rider at the last minute in legislation which skewered the ACA by limiting how much the govt can spend to protect insurance companies against financial losses (legislative sabotage). So, you can thank Marco for kicking up your premiums
He deserves the same amount of respect he gave to Dr. Ford. He’s a national disgrace.
Dr Ford was a set-up fake. Feinstein and her attorney set it up. Not even her best friend said that it happened....in fact NO ONE but Ford said it happened.. If she gave times, dates, or definite places; she could be caught lying by an unforeseen document on his part proving he couldn't have been there. If the place is not "remembered" but the exact motions and dialogue IS, there my friend is a troubling problem.
@Mikie1977 Dr. Ford was vetted and found credible BEFORE the hearings. There was nothing fake about it and she was factually supported when her medical records showed her revealing Kavanaugh's assault during a counseling session 6 years prior to the hearings. The "troubling problem" is when fools like you protest a woman's story of sexual assault, when she's doing so at great risk to herself and her family (verified). People don't do that unless there's something for them to be gained; in her case, it was the issue of keeping someone away from a position of power who has an abusive history of behavior. Remember, he's had 83 complaints against him for poor conduct, that the Senate (republicans) simply overlooked and nominated him. Once a justice, the SCOTUS removed all the complaints...not a good sign for what's left of a free country. The only "set-up fake" are the conservative media outlets you listen to who pitch this BS
@peaceman1948 It was a set-up from the start.....as soon as Feinstein's crooked lawyer tried to get her best friend to change her story (she said the incident never happened), we all knew it was a fraud. No firm dates, times, or location was "remembered" because it would have trapped the bjtch in the lie had Kavanaugh come up with some hard copy showing he was somewhere else at the time she specified. We will continue to call out bjtch fraudsters trying to undermine our country by continuing to legislate from the bench for sick-ass liberal causes. Her performance reeked of phoniness with that fake "regressive" voice ....so fuching obvious. Get a life media robot.
@Mikie1977 set up fake huh? how many idiots would name a witness to the event who was in the room if they were going to say it didn't happen? You've heard of a lot of cases where people named witnesses that they know won't support them? "We" all knew it was a fraud? We, meaning the racist trump supporters? Men who grab women by the pussy? Who's the we? But since you know so much about law, why do you think she didn't say he raped her if she was going to lie? If she was going to lie she would have told a much better lie than that. And you should certainly know what lies are.
No, he does not deserve respect. If I steal a badge, does that make me a cop?
Atheism and politics are completely separate issues. Just because I DON'T believe in a God doesn't necessarily mean I DO agree with all other atheists about anything else. We are a very diverse group. Personally, I think it's hilarious how upset Democrats are getting about not getting the white house.
"Who was sexually attacked"... umm... What? You mean who claimed she was sexually attacked? Because that's what happened. I'm surprised that someone who can, conceivably, see clearly the distinction between RELIGIOUS claims vs matters of fact is so confused when it comes to our JUSTICE SYSTEM and people's claims vs matters of fact. When we catch alleged sexual predators, we give them an innocent until proven guilty assumption. (Or to put it in terms you might yet understand, since this seems alien to you, a 'null hypothesis'.)That necessary cornerstone seems to be seriously eroded by the current trend. And it seems that's a trend you applaud. Gross. Welcome back to Salem. Or the Red Scare and the McCarthy trials. Just a claim is not, and should not be, enough to destroy someone's career or life. The president making fun of the seeming holes in her story aside, seems to me like you're missing something vital here buddy.
In any event, your simple assertion that the president is -fill in the blank-, or that she was sexually assaulted, or that I have issues... are just that... assertions. I expect more valid arguments from critical thinkers.
Especially 70 year olds.
Get with it.
@FlyingSpaghetti Dr. Ford was vetted and found credible BEFORE the hearings. There was nothing fake about it and she was factually supported when her medical records showed her revealing Kavanaugh's assault during a counseling session 6 years prior to the hearings. So, yes, it's still a claim but rather revealing when the Republican led committee and the WH made impotent, the following FBI investigation. Hmmm, why would that be?? Perhaps there's a there there?!?
Your rationale is fine but a woman's story of sexual assault, when made public is doing so at great risk to herself and her family (verified). People don't do that unless there's something to be gained; in her case, it was the issue of keeping someone away from a position of power who has an abusive history of behavior. Remember, he's had 83 complaints against him for poor conduct, that the Senate (republicans) simply overlooked and nominated him. Once a justice, the SCOTUS removed all the complaints...not a good sign for what's left of a free country. So, how does that suit your rationale??
[washingtonpost.com]
Thought you might find this of interest....
What we are witnessing is not only the worst POTUS in history...and he hasn't even gotten rolling yet. IF we can escape without nuclear war or the end of Democracy it will be a good day PLEASE VOTE BLUE!
He does not deserve any respect. Number 1 he is an illegitimate president. He didn't really win. Number 2 he is an idiot. Number 3 he is ruining America. And destroying the environment. And making America the laughingstock of the world. And he's a corrupt criminal who surrounded himself with criminals.. and he's owned by the Russians.. so, no, doesn't deserve one ounce of respect. Parts of Puerto Rico still don't have power. And Flint Michigan doesn't have clean water. And children were taken away from their parents and put in cages and have not been reunited yet.
sorry, he deserves as much respect as a painful rectal itch, which he closely resembles. he is not the office and the office is not him. i respect the office, which he does not. asking for no disrespect sort of scotches the poll, doesn't it? if you mean no disrespect for each other, that's fine; we can be civil here. but no disrespect for trump? disrespect doesn't even BEGIN to cover the contempt with which i view him. you ask why? well, he's a self-serving, lying little wannabe dictator who, for reasons not yet specified, feels more loyalty (i use the term loosely) to putin than to the united states; he's a white supremacist; he's a misogynisyt; he's a moron; and he's a moron. also he's a moron. did i mention he's a moron?
g
He is also a moron. ....
@Cutiebeauty true!
g
No I do not. But I do support the idea of the rule of law and the office. But Trump is shitting on said office. The guy cannot resist personally attacking any single person who opposes him with half truths, alternative facts and insults. He flip flops on his positions based solely on his need to be liked. He insults a senator who was a POW as a loser. He is the president America deserves though; a product of our reality show, denial of facts in favor of dogma(both religious and not) culture. He claims victories were there are none to be had such as North Korea and his border wall. So no I do not support him and if the evidence bears out I will be content to see him impeached or more likely resign so he can claim to be a victim of the deep state.
Yes I do support The President. Never in my life have I seen the liberal media endlessly attack a sitting president, nor the defeated party whine so much after an election. It seems every other month Hillary has yet another excuse for why she lost. Poor baby, get over it, people didn't like you.
Yes, Trump is obnoxious and many other things, but his is a presidency of NOT politics as usual. It was his intent from the beginning to shake up the system and it is working. Under Obama my investments lost a lot, now under Trump I am getting great returns. Industry in my area is going great, companies are hiring and the economy is strong, couldn't say that under Obama.
You are a complete idiot...I was going to discus things with you, but there's no point.
You are one of the few sensible ones on the main part of this website and may want to join us in the conservative atheist group on here if you haven’t already.
Gosh, 16classic, au contraire...Trump's presidency is absolutely politics as usual as the oligarchy gets more of the country's wealth from the middle and poor classes; in other words, YOU! Both Obama and Trump have little affect on the markets re your investments; you get an F for economic understanding....good grief
@16classic If you are interested- "Conservative Atheists"
@Lop-Eared-Mule Any one that does not think like you is a moron .Thank for the typical moronic liberal response
Looks like people here have brains that they don't sit on.
Unfortunately it seems most of the atheist on this website with the exception of the conservative group are Obama loving, Trump bashing, gun grabbing left wing liberal idiots!
@Trajan61 Mike Flora's other account...
What I can't understand is that people who support Trump make unsupported statements such as He is making America great. I challenge anyone to list the good things he has done. He is ridiculed and hated worldwide because he is despicable. Not as bad as Duterte, Erdogan, Baby Kim, Pinochet, Papa Doc, Putin or any other dictator, but he probably would like to be.
He’s done a lot of good by undoing a lot of the stupid idiotic shit Obama did. Obama was a regulation nut job who seemed intent on shutting down the economy of this nation. Not to mention his idiotic foreign policy.
@Trajan61 You have not said one good thing he has done. Be specific.
@RDaneel He did away with a lot of Obama’s stupid idiotic regulations which cost this country billions for little gain.Stopping the Keystone XL and the Dakota pipeline was just plain stupid. He put our foreign policy back on track by getting out of the Iran deal and the Paris climate accord.
Look at your stock or investment portfolio, I lost a crapload of cash under Obama, making good money under Trump.
How delightful to read through these comments only seeing references TO the Trumpies I have blocked. Keeps the BP within normal range. Btw, "satanism" is a BELIEF; in my opinion, one who considers oneself to BE one does not belong on this site.
Son of a slumlord and the BDSM slavemaster to Yawn Hannity.
I'm a Satanist. I'm on this site.
Fight me. Your opinion is extremely uninformed.
No, I do not support Donald Trump. Donald Trump is the trust fund baby of a daddy who left him 22 billion dollars.... and he has still managed to piss away well over half of that nest egg in one single lifetime.
How are we supposes to trust a man to turn our country around who can't even take 22 billion dollars and turn it in to a profit? Even a freaking monkey could inherit 22 billion and at the very least still have close to 22 billion when it croaks from old age.
Let's be perfectly honest here. Donald Trump is a failed real estate mogul who has had to be bailed out of bankruptcy multiple times. The sheer magnitude of his failure as a businessman and a human being is astounding.
The one thing I will give him credit for is being a good con artist. His ability to take advantage of the least educated and least intelligent amongst us perplexes me to no end.
I won't even get in to what a vile and disgusting individual he is just as a human being. His laundry list of despicable actions is long and already widely known. No sense rerunning that sick horror show again.
Not a trump supporter but most sources say his father's estate was between 100 to 300 million. Not billions.
Ever since commenting on this poll, i now have all these redhat creeps "hovering" on my page, lol. Fellers that look like theyd try to grab my hands to see if I work for a living, but they are all like 70 and work for a living watching some fox.
They should listen to all the stories they heard growing up and "mind thier place" and not try to push it, lest shit go all Saul Alinsky/Weather Underground on them. Or FDR on them. They forget that not even shitbird Nazis lasted about 10 years, and not 1000. There are more good noncriminal people than bad deplorable ones.
Thankfully, there are relatively few people who voted that they support Trump in the OP’s poll. They are just loud and noticeable because they spout nonsense. Trumpism is a cult of personality that demands unwavering loyalty and that you ignore your lying eyes to accept Trump’s narrative.
Youll notice that Trumpies want "political correctness" as long as its correct like being nice and civil to Donny tic tacs and his dummies
Stupid people hate Trump!
@maturin1919 No, smart people see the big picture.
@maturin1919 No because Trump is making America great and the World safer.
@maturin1919 You can laugh, but its true.
My, what a deep, message of free thought thar, tater. "Durrrr, stoopit peeple hateses Tromp! Moon made of cheeze! Yall caint see bigger picture, jus' filled wit white folks!" Lol
No, Gater, smart people see Trump for what he is and a gathering storm of 'blue' is heading your way this fall. This BS 'Trump-train' is already beginning to unravel and will be off the rails over the next year. But, in a way, it's a good thing that 'Trumpettes' can't see it coming
I do not hate him. I do hate quite a lot of what he says and does and stands for yes. Just like there was somethings I hated that Obama did. But Obama had empathy and compassion and class. Trump has none of those things.
@peaceman1948 Obama was an idiot who made a lot of stupid deals like the Iran deal and the Paris climate deal. Also stopping the Keystone and Dakota pipelines was just plain idiotic.
@peaceman1948 I saw that so called blue wave your talking about.
@Trajan61 such a funny guy...Obama had an over-connected relationship with Wall St and a hand in perpetuating the CIA's wars in the ME, and should have prosecuted the Bush administration for 'war crimes' and prosecuted Wall St. It's been quite clear that the Iran Deal was fine, just not politically appetizing for the R's just as the Paris Climate Accord (data coming out now has more than ever vindicated their existence as due to the coming dangers of severe weather. So, time for you to remove your head from that dark cavernous space of yours. Keystone & Dakota pipelines are known recipes for environmental disasters given the dirty oil and several conservative states are not happy about the 'risks' they're now facing.
Oh, yeah...cute pic. Is that object in it you??
@peaceman1948 Without oil the world economies would come to a screeching halt. So what in the hell are you talking about?
@Trajan61 seriously, the world is NOT dependent on these particular pipelines by a long shot. Facts are that more emphasis on alternative resources beyond oil are viable and working. It's the politics that makes you say things that are not accurate, it just makes you an oil-bot. Get a clue; the world economies have been manipulated around oil for many decades even though other alternatives have been available...POLITICS and the current power structure don't give 2 shits about the planet
@peaceman1948 I’ve yet to see a semi truck running on anything but diesel. Also most train locomotives run on diesel as well. The only way Solar and wind energy is viable is with a heavy government subsidy. So once again what in the hell are you talking about?
@Trajan61 He don't know himself what the hell he is talking about, which is why I blocked his leftist arse...
@Trajan61 Haven't been on the site in awhile and saw your post. Of course you know what I'm talking about. The obvious 'elephant in the room' is the issue of the oil industry and how they've repressed the markets through political power when newer technologies are available that, over time, are showing higher efficiencies, cleaner tech, non-pollutive dynamics which will vastly improve in time. That would mean eventual replacement of diesel fuels, etc.
FUCK NO!
another clever response from the left
@gater nope. Really don’t need a clever reason to not support a president who uses children as a trading chip to bully support for his ill-conceived border wall.
It definitely doesn’t take the mental gymnastics of trying to justify being in support of a racist, misogynistic sociopath.
@A2Jennifer Wow a racist, misogynistic sociopath Do you have any proof of your allegations? Or are you repeating something you hope is true?
@gater when a man brags about grabbing women “by the pussy” = misogynist. When you refer to human beings as animals and call immigrants rapists = racist. A sociopath is someone who persistently violates the rights of others, who lies, manipulates and who lacks empathy = Trump.
@A2Jennifer You forgot idiot & narcissist!
@A2Jennifer Well said. Thank you for being clear headed and eloquent. When I see comments like gater’s, my words fail me because I’m shocked by the level of cognitive dissonance required to support Trump. I’d be less shocked by someone who openly admitted to being a racist misogynist supporting Trump. But how anyone outside the David Duke crowd can rationalize this I just don’t understand. Why does any regular republican think this is going to make the US great again?
@Ian607 I don’t think they all do. I think a lot of them just want to hold onto the power.
