This is part of a response I gave to another post. It tells what I'm looking for...or at least what i can think of right now...

I want long talks into the middle of the night.

I want back rubs... giving and receiving.

I want sweet kisses in the morning or night or both.

I want deep meaningful kisses whenever the opportunity arises.

I want crazy ass sex.

I want laughter.

I want to share tears if needed.

I wasn't someone that GETS me and still sticks around...lol 😉.

Kidding aside, I agree that's a wonderful list of relationship goals. I'd add in long, meandering walks together and snuggly cuddles (or cuddly snuggles — whichever seems more appropriate in the moment).

True, but I guess I should have stated that I want all of that with someone I connect with emotionally. I've tried just having physical intimacy.. and while it's nice for that moment, it's empty after.

Above all this, and in order to get this, you’re going to need chemistry. Once you find someone with the right chemistry all this will fall into place naturally.

chemistry isn't enough... they need shared values to establish a long term bond for when the sex fizzles out and the honeymoon is over....

@demifeministgal I would imagine that unless you have shared values you’re not going to have chemistry with someone you would want to fulfill this ‘wish list’ with to begin with.

I think both of you are partly right.

Chemistry is mysterious.

Values are important, but chemistry... at least physical... can be there with differing values (depending on which values are where you disagree about.)

I don't want just physical chemistry though. Therefore shared values on certain issues is important.

@Hazydays I suppose when I hear chemistry I think of physical attraction and just surface level stuff, not deep intimacy stuff like shared values

@demifeministgal I think there is purely physical chemistry. However, I think there is emotional chemistry also.
