Message to self: You will be happier if you loose 100 lbs, don't screw it up! It isn't hard, just eat things YOU cook. Do not eat things prepared by factories, including restaurants; they aren't careful with their ingredients and usually put too much fat, sugar and salt. You owe it to yourself to eat well, and you will grow to like kale as you eat it. end-rant

Breakfast
100 blueberries
Lunch
200 PB sandwich w/ broccoli
Dinner
100 Salad
200 peanuts

EXACTLY! All these crazy diets, special foods, meds and meal plans are totally unnecessary and most are still bound to fail, long-term. Just eat healthy foods! No processed foods (that includes anything with a list of ingredients), no red meat and no salt, sugar, or animal fats. I break the rules in a few places: I enjoy "Skinny Girl" salad dressings (10c/oz), no-fat dairy products (Greek yogurt & cottage cheese), nut milks (like almond & cashew, egg whites and mixed saltless spices (Mrs. Dash)... all healthy products. That leaves endless fruits, veggies, nuts, chicken breast and wild-caught salmon. Restricting yourself to these things not only brings your body naturally to its optimum weight, but also eliminates hunger and most of the food-borne causes of cancer.

@mtnhome You can have the meat, fish and fowl, and products they produce. One day of excess (ha 1300 calories) is not a crisis. I ate only 400 today because I wasn't hungry and wasn't tempted with comfort food.

Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
