Daily Check-in:
Better day for eating, not so much on activity. Did go to senior exercise class and in the evening, water exercise but in between I did little of consequence. In fact, spent over an hour napping on the sofa. Saving up my strength for night time. Even if I hadn’t taken the nap, I wouldn’t be tired now as it is only about midnight. Tired doesn’t come back until 2-3 AM.

Eating today: hot dog bun w/1.5 oz turkey breast & 1/2 tsp Mayo – 180, watermelon – 100, !/2 c Trail mix – 150, 2 c cheese popcorn – 80, Cauliflower mac & cheese – 250, strawberries w/lite cream cheese & sugar – 150, 2 mentos - 20, carrots – 50 - - - -
For a total of 980 for the day. The carrots may still go higher as I’m munching them again. Good thing is you can eat a lot of little carrots when you are in the mood to be crunching something and it doesn’t add a lot of calories. Don’t want to keep it this low very often, tends to slow the body down too much.
Be back tomorrow, hope your day went well.

Feel free to post your day if it will help you.

The last two days, as with MANY of my at-home days, I had two huge salads through the day and some chicken breast at night for a total of about 1100-calories. I used to weight every ingredient for my salads but found a great shortcut: everything in my salads runs between 5-10 calories per ounce and my dressings of choice (Skinny Girl) are also 10-calories per oz, so I just pile everything in the bowl (lettuce, cabbage, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, cauliflower, sprouts, peppers, radish, spinach, cucumber, etc), add the dressing, then weigh-in on a "tare" scale (subtracts the weight of the bowl). I multiply the ounce weight by 8 or 9, so a huge 24-oz salad with dressing is about 200-225 calories. If I add some chicken breast, canned salmon, raisins, or parmesan cheese, I weigh them separately and add that in. The huge salads are usually 250-300 C, never over 350 C. In the evening, 12-oz of chicken breast cooked in a pan with a red pepper, mushrooms and scallions with no oil at a low heat to not dry it out adds under 500 C. When I do this several days in a row I always lose a pound. Real food, real easy, real healthy.

I'm suffering pain, and not functioning very well. I'll return to recording my meals soon.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you feel better soon. Have a good comfort food. Mine is chicken noodle soup, from the can. It's what my granny would give me when I felt poorly. Good vibes your way! 🙂

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
