I haven't personally but I watched my ex estrange from her father over issues she feels he needs to atone for when she was growing up. This happened maybe 10 years ago.i find it bizarre, but not unexpected or surprising considering how the world turns, that in the last 5 years she has become more and more like the person she estranged. She is turning out to be as judgmental and emotionally unavailable as he ever was. The closest I've come would be the roughly 20 year period between age 20 and 40 where I simply could not have a conversation with my oldest sister who has been living with and controlled by a violent and angry abusive partner since I was 17 or 18. I could not reconcile how such an intelligent and wonderful person could sacrifice her entire life. It killed me inside every time I saw her and I would end up in arguments putting more pressure on her. i had to back away. I lost two decades with my sister. In my early 40's I realized I was suffering this relationship loss and I resolved to work through my angst with my feelings. I learned how to compartmentalize. We have been very loving to each other ever since and have a brother/ sister relationship that is normal, healthy and progressive. No laughing matter but a little payback.. her partner has not only abused my sister his entire life but as a strong alcoholic his systems are slowly shutting down.. hours on the toilet every morning as his guts fall apart, diagnosed stage 3 or 4 sclerosis of the liver. his retinas are detaching with regularity, he sometimes randomly bleeds through his pores.He's just an effing internal mess. Personally I'm not sure there is enough pain that he could endure that would make me feel true sympathy beyond what one human might feel for another as a basic thought process when not wishing things on your "worst enemy". Of course, as always, my sis is doing her loyal best to continue on as the caregiver. I love her sense of humanity. I am proud I turned myself around to be back in her life. My take away..yes back away from the toxicity for your own sanity and health. But be open to the notion that over time other things evolve to become important as well. Your son may change. You might want to hope you are there if he does.

A few avoidable mishaps during my construction/ renovation career. Like almost kneecapping myself while kicking a hammer or slicing a freshly changed drywall knife blade across the palm of my hand as I tried to reposition myself WHILE continuing to cut. 21 stitches later for that one. There have been plenty. lol

A difficult question to answer because the short reply is,, "Depends." People don't generally know what their limit or threshold for "rough" sex is until they've experienced something. In my previous LTR I found out that my partner had lied about receiving a Christmas bonus from work one year. To me a very out of character and illogical thing for her to do. For the grand sum of $200 Nat completely threw a wrench in the spokes of the Wheel of Trust. After 10 years and 2 children it wasn’t enough to break up over but it certainly threw heavy shade on my understanding of our “honest” relationship.

I know little to nothing about the mechanics of dreaming but there is a technique called “lucid dreaming” where the sleeper becomes aware they are dreaming and gains a certain control over the actions in that dream. I, myself, have had episodes of lucidity in the past just out of pure luck. I looked into it at the time enough to find out what was happening but didn’t take any time to develop it as a skill. Maybe being able to control the reoccurring dream in some way can change the outcome of it and by extension change it enough to destroy it. Kinda sci-fi but it’s what I got. Lol It must suck to have this going on. Good luck. 🤞

Always gotta check the “extras”.. I have an awesome story about a bar in Hong Kong where after a couple of beers, and a half hour chat at the bar with a young woman who was literally just sitting there when I walked in. I asked for the bill.. and nearly fell off the stool… $1200.00 US😮😮😮 When I questioned the ridiculous amount I was referred to a chalk board way at the back of the dimly lit bar that explained all the “extras” I had been supposedly enjoying for the past half hour.. including a fee for sitting AT the bar instead of a table. That took some talking .. and eventually $600..to get out with no altercation. Even though the bouncer was at the end of the bar cleaning his fingernails with a switchblade.. I kid you not… I wasn’t particularly scared but knew I had to come up with some serious coin to avoid something unpleasant.
