The Republicans had spent the previous 3-4 yrs challenging Clinton at every turn, they kept her name in the news with some negative aspect and for people who did not dig deep enough, she seemed dishonest and non-caring! Clinton is not motivated by money and she never appeared power hungry to me. So far I have not nailed down just one (or two). I do think that Bernie still has ‘fire in the belly,’ and has always faught for the people’s benefit, rather than money. And, I think Warren is pretty savvy and knowledgeable. And, I think she does think of the whole Cointry, not just for the few! But, to be honest, in this last debate, I thought everyone showed promise! Lol I was a Biden fan when he was in the Senate, but I worry about his age, but with the right VP, I guess that would not be a problem!
It seems to me that a ‘single payer,’ system would reduce the cost of health care in general and if everyone was paying a premium of some kind and the government allowed a subsidy, everyone would have healthcare! Some of my children who have healthcare where they work, can’t go just anyplace for their treatment and they pay big bucks with high deductibles! But, the problem that I see here is...our healthcare is driven by profits...the Insurance Companies will lobby against single payer! And, I have no idea how that works out for hospitals that are owned by Doctors! And my bet is, Insurance Co, have great holds on our politics! That would be the greatest hurdle, I would think!

@Outsideit67 when the people I am referring to, speak about their beliefs (which is something that every conversation has it), they will tell you straight up, ‘they are willing to die for their beliefs,’ in any discussion/argument. And in the North Ga area where I lived for many years...that is what you will find in almost all the Churches. I was shocked, when I attended a memorial service in the Catholic Church there and it held the same deeply Evangelical position as the Protestant Church. And I do not remember that as true in years past when I was in a Catholic Church. !

And my relatives still in that indoctrination behave as if they are superior to others! They have no problem telling me that I am headed for hell!

I don’t think that the majority of atheist (or other ideology), are so locked into their belief system, that they are ‘willing to die for their beliefs!’ You will find that in the majority of Evangelicals (at least in the Bible Belt).
