And after the stroke (many years later) it was also a better place than that hospital bed, where I had lost control of one eyeball, lost the ability to read/write/ speak clearly, and could not recognize anybody until they spoke. Mystical my ass! Do you think if you are dying everything is rainbows & soft music? That's hospice......... Just dark, quiet,peaceful,and no pain....really lovely. And anybody who blats on about how "it gave them purpose" or whatever, just wants your money!

Expenses, Utilities...who pays & when? Conflict resolution methods? (Wed. Nite sit-down, outside mediator, ???) Etc. If it is not in writing, it is an area of potential conflict, period! Having worked in cotton mills and sewing factories, I can tell you the air gets very full of tiny cloth/dye/thread particles, enough to give you a sore throat & runny nose, but also there can be spontaneous combustion (fire), just because the air is so saturated with agitated particles, or from a sparking machine, such as a burning sewing machine. The women (young women some immigrants) were locked in. Some jumped to their deaths, others just burned, because they could not break open the locked doors. Led to changes in how workers were treated, somewhat.

Most hospitals have counselors that could talk to her about things, suggest some social services that she may be unaware of, etc.....but you do need to ask for them.
