What's your problem with French restaurants?

They give me the crepes!

I'm fine getting the crêpes at my favorite crêpe restaurants. Mmmmm... I have to go all the way to Oahu to get good ones, but worth the trip. Soo tasty!

That would be a crepe joke for a French speaker.

No need to waffle on.

That’s an un-baguette-able joke.

Okay, we'll just have a glass of ''row-zay'', & forget all about it!

@Lilac-JadeCanada Agree, don’t want to be too much of a paine about it….

@Zealandia AWWW, wudduh champ!

@Lilac-JadeCanada With my accent, I’d probably pronounce ''row-zay' like that.

Haven’t tried a kiwi one yet, must give it a go. Cheers!

@Zealandia Actually I was making a joke with the spelling, but that's also how I pronounce it.......I ain't French, by any stretch.....my grandparents were English/Scottish.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Go back far enough, we’re probably French anyway. My mate Sam can trace his family tree back to the Huguenots, which is interesting.

@Zealandia As I was a moron [mormon] until I got the heck out, they are big on geneology, but it's Europe, the UK, & the US, for my background. As for where in Europe, I wasn't that interested.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Ah ok. I can trace my family tree back a fair way on both sides in Yorkshire, although Dad says there’s a bit of Irish mixed in somewhere. I’m a first generation kiwi.

Some of my distant ancestors apparently settled in Ohio.

Plus I mentioned that one of my great aunts on Mum’s side was a Canadian war bride.

The Mormon church was near where I worked in South Auckland, it is huge. It still hasn’t been completed and the spire is covered in scaffolding.

Did you know that recent PM Adern is ex Mormon?

@Zealandia No, I hadn't heard that, but EX is always good in this case.
