It seems most of the older men and women on this site (not me) have been in really long relationships, so their frame of reference for being single was fifteen or twenty years ago. Sometimes l feel like I am reading stuff written by people in their twenties, especially the men. Dating in your twenties and thirties is much different than dating when older. IMO

Elton John has always been one of my favorites. He is one of the few artists l have multiple albums by. He is not always given enough credit for being the soulful singer he is. Six degrees of separation, our lead guitarist did some studio work with Nigel Olson, John's long time drummer.

I was in my teens and early twenties when this stuff was popular. There were still night clubs where people dressed up a bit and went dancing. It was a romantic time in that sense. Music like this, Sergio Mendes, and Roberta Flack recorded this more sophisticated romantic music at the end of an era. Nice memories. Thanks, you always surprise.

I don't know. I always get in the last word. I figure they can start the next one. If l don't hear from them l assume they aren't interested, but maybe they are waiting for me to initiate contact again. Sometimes it seems conversations just run out of gas. This is why l HATE this medium as a way of getting to know someone. There is no room for error. Folks can easily take something the wrong way. Very frustrating at times.
