LenHazell53 replies on Aug 22, 2019:
@VictoriaNotes I had the same problem with my first wife, on top of which she was violent and abusive. When we split up six different people said, oh you found out about her affair then, all six were talking about different affairs four men and two women with who my "loving wife " had been sleeping. I actually never left her, she kicked me out for having an affair (that never happened) with a female work colleague.

I loved the song writing talents of John, but I never thought of any of them as highly talented instrumentalist, but that's just me and my opinion.
LenHazell53 replies on Aug 18, 2019:
George was a very talented and multifaceted musician, Ringo was a competent drummer, but both John and Paul's talents lay in their composing, Paul as a superb musical technician and John as an inspired inovator, they were never better than working together (Though I will grant you many of the cover versions of their music were better than the originals). I will amend the above to say Paul and Denny Lane in wings sometimes equalled or bettered Lennon and McCartney (my personal favourite being Medicine Jar).

LenHazell53 replies on Aug 17, 2019:
@t1nick Yes it was shortly before Monson died amid claims that a Mormon prophet had not made a prophecy in years, he announced a revelation from God that when the word of wisdom refers to "Hot Drinks" it does actually mean hot drinks and that it was nothing to do with the caffeine content, therefore caffeinated cold drinks are okay, but tea and coffee are not, however other hot drinks are okay too, since they did not exist when the original WOW was written. Even though they did.

LenHazell53 replies on Aug 17, 2019:
The truth was a lot simpler, they banned coke because they had owned a large stake in Pepsi since 1977 when Joan Crawford left them all of her shares in the company in her will, her late husband had been Alfred Steele CEO of Pepsi and after his death she had been on the board of directors of Pepsi from 1959 to 1973 and increased her shareholding during that time to a little short of 40%. Though her step children by Steele contested the will in 1977 the LDS legal department squashed them like bugs. About two years ago they bought in to Coke too and as you say had a revelation, Pepsi has never been banned. Edit sorry teh "revelation was given in 2012 when Romney was running for Prez.

Someone needs to tell this to those two morons sorry Mormon religious gestapo at the Los Angeles temple who attacked a disabled black veteran, tried to take his service dog by force and then threw him bodily off the grounds with the words "We don't support service animals" earlier this month.
LenHazell53 replies on Aug 15, 2019:
@altschmerz A disabled black veteran suffering PTSD entered the public grounds of the Los Angeles LDS temple, which as a public place has tax exemption form state and federal taxes, but was turned away for having a service animal with him with the words "we do not support that". He returned later with the dog's certification and a camera phone, was pursued by Temple security, told to leave and claimed rightly that in a public place he was allowed to have a service animal with him. They claimed that though it is a public place, the grounds are church property and so are exempt from the laws regarding service animals, they then tried to physically take the dog from him, when he called the police they bodily ejected him from the grounds, throwing him on to his face on the pavement outside, injuring his leg and his dog, he is now pressing charges for assault and animal cruelty. Only a day or so later a veteran in Virginia was escorted from the premises by security at Greenbrier Mall for having a service dog. In both cases the Americans with Disabilities Act, states clearly that neither veteran was breaking any law or bi-law and though churches are permitted an exception to the ADA for the interior of the church buildings, a the temple is not a public place of worship and by designating the grounds church grounds to avoid paying ground tax the exemption is null and void.

Officer-Involved Killings Now a Leading Cause of Death For Young Men in America
richiegtt comments on Aug 11, 2019:
People that do not comply with the orders of police or cooperate and resist are a leading cause of their own deaths .This anti cop culture is one of the reasons there is so much violence in the first place .
LenHazell53 replies on Aug 11, 2019:
Anti cop culture does not just spring fully formed out of nowhere, it takes time and effort by the cops to build it up. Also what a police officer reads as not complying with orders of the police or cooperating and resisting can be simply asking "what is the problem officer?" while being black, objecting to being called an n word or boy while being black, being in possession of thick black curly hair and a deep voice, or simply being in possession of an offensive wife...while being black.

True you can kill a multitude of other ways, but none so epitomise or express the intent to kill on a one to one personal level than the gun. Thank you for the compliment, though I doubt it was your intent to be be complimentary, but I will take it as such.😊

Not to be a smart ass or insensitive, but this is an agnostic site, so who cares whether it is capitalized or not. Technically if it used as a proper noun its gets capitalized. If used in a general sense (aka. The gods looked on with derision), then not.

it is the degeneration and corruption of the language I get bent out of shape about, not the religious aspect, the capitalisation issue is just the tip of an iceberg where Christian theologians begin redefining words to suit themselves such as faith, prayer, spirit etc

Even in the Christian sense it is not a Proper noun it is a pronoun, an identifier not a name The Lord god (The actual designation for the christian god) is correct as is the Lord god Jehovah capitalising god is purely christian tradition, the same as capitalising Him or He when referring to jesus, again a title not a name or proper noun) it is not gramatical.

However when I wrote a scene in a sketch about a prostitute wearing a rubber nuns outfit he almost threw up and refused to have it in the show and though I was a big fan of "Father Ted" refused to even talk about the series with me as apparently piss taking priests was just something he could not be comfortable with. On the other hand in a pilot script we wrote for a TV series called "Death and Mr. Underwood" he fought me tooth and nail to keep *in* a line where the angel of death calls God "a right Bastard" because he won't give him the day off, something that at the time I as a believer found offensive, in retrospect of course he was right.

But you don't live in a democracy, you live in a western democracy completely different thing, on top of which you also live in an American federal democracy where you do not vote for your leader directly, you vote to instruct the members of the local electoral college. Until you change that farcical system, shouting "Not my president" is the political equivalent of standing on a hillside screaming "Fuck off Bastard" at an approaching tornado. An animal like that is to be challenged and then instructed to show you the problem, once it knows you are no threat it will allow you to help.
